It is absolutely crazy........

I think personally, I'm not a fan of the invisibility mechanic overall...  But I put up with it, because without it or a viable alternative, the missions would be too much easier....


It was just, losing 5 men in 5 turns to what I think was a Shruiken armed warrior, was just...    GAAAH!

Your option, "Ironman is unadvised", is not what casuals/veterans expect to hear. May be you should try to change a balance so that Ironman mode will advised? ;)

Save Reloading is an Option.

Ironman is an Option.

This is designed to be hard enough without Ironman Mode... 

The "Default Balance" should not require Ironman.  The Default Balance should be to make Ironman a harder challenge

As a former Veteran Player of every version of the original, and now a Casual Gamer...  That is what I expect.

I think Dioxine has done the right thing by advising that Ironman is not advised...  Because it would be more unfair to go into it without having a Warning...

If it were based on Drone Wreck + Integrated, then the delaying feature I've found so far is the Drone Wreck...  because Integrated is fairly easy to get - the Medics/Researchers seem to occasionally carry personal computers that break down into IDs.

If it was based on Slave AI - that's a little trickier, since you're most often having to get a UFO one way or another to end up with them...

Which might be a bit of a cyclical delay, since you're not really seeing the Drone Wreck until a UFO anyway....  at least in my Experience.



BUT

Dioxine mentioned both Beastmasters and Necromancers as for the reason why...  I'm waiting to see more about that 'Surprise'...

Man, I spent 3 hours last night trying to go through a Black Lotus Cultist base with a Dragonfly, 8 Men with Tactical Armour and LMGs...

...

Three Hours.

Damn Ninjas.  The first 2 hours were casualty free, then , despite being in a position which attempted to covered all directions of advance against me...  I lost 5 soldiers in 5 turns to a damn Ninja I couldn't see...

Then spent an hour hunting down 4 more of those Ninja that I couldn't see, but I knew were around as my soldiers stopped after every tile of movement.



....Made me wish I had a flamethrower I could just torch vast areas with to flush them out...

CTD on base attack in version 0.99
The main base ("junktown") is under attack but after defense fired up I have got a CTD, after clicking on the button "Aye".
I don't know how to find out what is causing a problem and how to fix too =(
A save is in an attachment. Steps to reproduce: click "begone" on ufos and within 1-2 days they will come to take over the base.


Megascorpion Stings.

You have 10 in your Base Stores.

Sell them, and you can get to your base defense.

(Just Tested it.  Although, I will say I lost it...  I really suck at base defense missions :D )

Hmm looks like he tried loading the megascorpion stings on the craft... and looks like the shortcut I took while making them has such consequences. I would never have guessed someone tries loading them, they're just a sale item :)


I've been stockpiling, not selling - but that may explain why I also got a crash as soon as my laser defenses failed to shoot down that Mercenary Craft...  :D
