Thanks, fixed.

PS: space key is not a default for 'Next unit'. default is tab key.

Well, I've never changed any key binds, so I assume that "Space" was a Default in-use Key...

Tab is next Unit

Space is "Next Unit, Don't Come back To this one."

Took me a few hits to see what was going on, before I hit my own config page to check.

Basically, you bring all 4 windows up, and then click them to attack...

The UFO will only attack the one it is *closest* to...  The *first* one it gets into range of.

Until it kills it or you duck back out of range.

Then it moves on to the next.

Very Useful if you have one Craft that can take a bit of Punishment (Kraken, Crab) and a bunch of lighter interceptors that have the Goods in Offense, but can't take harsh words without buckling under them....  Because you set up the big craft to shoot first, and the others get free reign.

Having a Huge, Slavering, Bipedal, Stomping, Eating Machine on your side tends to lend a certain amount of temporary courage to a situation, I feel :D

I always felt that "Cooking by the Book" was a reference to the Anarchists Cookbook, which would teach you how to make improvised explosives from on-hand chemicals and tools...

Actual, stable Dynamite is open source - but its difficult to actually legally acquire, after all...  Its something that would always be under regulation, as long as regulation exists...  So sure, maybe be able to purchase it...

But actually making it isn't easy.

I know.

And here it is... the stupidest-est feature I've ever implemented!

I doubt it'll stay that stupid for long...  There's plenty Stupider and less organizationally useful than this one to come if half of the 'suggestions' on this board are adhered to :D

As for progrom(s) as still of now (0.99B) they don't seem a "labdmark" to ne because almostvakways i get the first by the end of jan 2601 (the very beginning) unless i'm missing something.

They happen, but you can ignore them (with no penalty) until such time as you're confident you can beat the snot out of them, or you finish Contact: Mutant Alliance research...

I believe, anyway.

So there you go.

Raider Buzzards, Star Gods, Mercenary Commandos....  All have the Ability to Fly and Hover...

So they can "Land" and "walk" on Water, because they're actually Flying.  They have 0 shits to give.

About approach/disengage speed... wtf is that even? I haven't looked at it yet, but what is the general idea and what does vanilla do at the moment? Does it somehow decide when and if the UFO is outrunning the interceptor? Cos that's the part I never understood :)

The speed is normally set at a constant, and its how much time it physically takes you to close with the UFO into firing range once you have Intercepted it on the Combat Screen.

It makes a big difference when you're packing Short Ranged Weapons and the Enemy has Long - because it dictates how many shots the enemy gets as you struggle to get it into Range...

Same with Disengaging...  Both when a UFO outruns you and when you click "Disengage", its going to be how many parting shots the bastard gets before you bug out.

Offtopic / Re: Why did the aliens fire the beacon to start TFTD.

Could be that they absolutely loathe and hate each other...

But the Aliens hate being beaten more...

So the Beacon is just a last ditch giant middle finger to Earth.

The Ninjas were why I stopped playing...

...  Well, where I stopped playing for 3-4 hours at a time, and instead, spread the ONE OUTPOST FIGHT over 1 hour per day for 6 days, because they would last forever...

I will admit, I chuckled a little at the above...

...  But mostly because it didn't end with "And when everything goes fantastic and you chase down that UFO after it landed...  You find out its a Civilian and almost everything you do to it nets you negative points, so you should have just let it go, anyway..."

:D

I find Piratez to be supremely refereshing in regards to the Standard X-Com Game.

I don't need to chase and shoot down everything.  In fact, once I get aerial interception, 85% of the time, I fly out, find out its a civilian, and fly back...  Burning all the Hellerium while I'm at it :D

So picking and choosing battles - and understanding that, some times, your gals are going to be sitting on the couch and boozing up for a month .  It just happens.

Hell, with the Pachy, even after getting the research to the point where I *do* need to care about Pogroms, I take a few seconds to decide wether its still worth it to even attempt or not...  Especially when its going to end up at night.

X-Com disabused me of the notion that there is a perfect way to play a game.
Piratez disabused me of the notion that games are built to be won at all :D
