Oh. It also consumes 21 TUs for this action if I don't do it manually.
Game is cheating me out of my time units!
I guess it's been doing that the whole time?

WTF
19 TUs to Right Shoulder > Left hand > Right hand weapon
21 TUs to Right Shoulder > Right hand weapon
21 TUs to Right Leg > Right hand weapon
23 TUs to Right Leg > Left hand > Right hand weapon

So depending on what inventory slot you use the game either gifts you 2 TUs when you reload or takes 2 TUs away from you..
Well it applies to the inventory slots that differentiate between which hand the item ends up at. So if you keep your ammo in shoulder and leg pouches.

When reloading in OXCE you pay:
- price to put ammo in hand (notice I don't say which hand)
- plus price defined on the weapon to reload

This needs to be changed to:
-price to put ammo to "the hand not holding this weapon"
-plus price of reloading the weapon

Er I didn't know there was an "R" button. I always just used the inventory screen for reloading.
Also it takes 19 TUs total to do it in the inventory.

Doesn't work:
Pick the grenade from the shoulder slot, click on the weapon. (20 TUs left)

Works:
Pick the grenade from the shoulder slot, click on the left hand, click on the grenade in the left hand, click on the weapon. (1 TU left)

20 TUs is not enough to reload a grenade launcher with a grenade off soldiers shoulder slot but is enough to take the cartridge to my left hand and then reload the weapon.
All for the same 20 TUs. :)

Er. What patch notes are you reading from what I can tell every aspect of early game just got a lot easier.

Lasers ignoring armor seems pretty weird conceptually. Then again, lightly armored targets being resistant to lasers was weird as well, and it's not like this matters much anyway. :P
Every type of projectile has a different medium that counteracts the destruction it is supposed to do. Armor plate that shatters a bullet and absorbs the shards created would not stop and dissipate a laser beam.
Edit: Imagine a body covered in thin sheet of superconductive foil. Laser energy would just vanish and a 9mm bullet would swish through.

I can read compass all right.
Very ironically a compass has an arrow.

Possible, but I don't see a point in having the same information twice.

The point of providing any information in a more accessible format is to cut out people thinking over what the information is communicating and instead make them spend their time using said information. :3
I watched someone spend 3x3 seconds in a single episode mulling over where the crafts are heading.

Edit: Obviously it might not be worth it for you. God knows.
Love the YT campaign btw.

Enemies can spawn in an inaccessible area on this map. It is also theoretically possible for them to walk to a position where you can't shoot them without removing the brushes.
Low impact but annoying nonetheless.
Save attached with the corpse in a place I can't walk to.

I dont like your hostile attitude (again) one bit.

You dont want feedback, fine.

I don't think Dioxine does that hostile-like. I am pretty sure that the person is very straightforward and addresses everyone in this forum just like they were addressing a friend. If I was you I'd take it as a compliment. :)

As for the difficulty curve. It's very much on par the original game. The late game isn't easier, just the problems you solve are different.
Amount of one-shot-kills increases and the price of mistakes goes up.
Ditto for the difficulty settings by the way. If you choose Jack Sparrow you need to cherry-pick your opposition more carefully but you have a wider variety of alien tech you get exposed to, you get to pick from a bigger pool of enemy leaders and you get more money to expand/recruit/whatever.

Spoiler:
Try completing the game in the easiest setting. You won't even get fourth cydonia key in the first four years.

Watching your playthrough on YT it occurred to me that some people might gain from having the heading in the Shipping-XY window represented as an arrow in addition to the "North-West" or whatever it is.
It might take a little thought so the old look would be preserved.

Maybe in the upper right corner of the window?

It would be cool to have a way to either search the Ufopaedia/workshop lists or to sort them alphabetically.

In the mid/endgame most of the time you visit either place you know exactly what you are looking for but the lists are sorted pretty arbitrarily and, in the case of the Workshop, it might be hard to know which category the item you are looking for belongs to. And even if you do some of those filtered lists are pretty long.

The game insists on occasionally using pink sand for desert missions on Earth. I think it's part of Cydonia tile set? It would be fine but I am getting choke tests at the end of every turn.
Is this intentional?

This is rather odd.
Mind controlled Osiron Security has 12% aimed shot with Gauss Sniper which is not consistent with his firing accuracy stat nor is it consistent with his accuracy on the Heavy Gauss.
Save attached.

Assuming it's a bug.
Soldier can berserk shoot while both hands full with a weapon that normally requires you to have an off hand free in order for it to be used.

In the example save the soldier goes berserk and offloads quarter of a magazine of Bossar while having a zapper equipped in the other hand.
