Yes, that's what we call them too.

You said there was/is a mod for UFO... and you would like a similar mod for TFTD.

My question is: what was the name of the UFO mod?

It was years ago, back on the old domain. Let me load Open Xcom - - - much searching later..
It was "Gender Detail" and "Moriarty Armors?", they seem only to be land based for XCOM.

I know they changed the paper dolls in TFTD, they all look constipated lol

Is there a mod for TFTD's Aquanauts Inventory Sprites like there was for Open Xcom?

I'm late in the game but the ugly, ugly character sprites means I more or less treat them like clones. I've lost 23 on a single base already, and it's JUNE. It was worth asking at least.

I'm currently playing OG TFTD, but wouldn't mind NEW graphics and maybe aquanauts that look as good as the Xcom troops?

THIS IS GENIUS! I'm amazed at what can be done in OpenXcomExtended! Now, here's a challange.. vehicles that the pilot can get OUT of! Either way, im enjoying your let's play, it's extra interesting because you're the designer! 40k!!! 'Bug Test'/ "Let's Play" I guess.

Hey, I found my log in info!

Want to play TFTD, enjoyed Open Xcom UFO. Anyone still use that "see what you trooper is looking at in 3D functionality?"

I'm looking for any stand alone graphics mods for 'hand objects', aquanauts, enemies for TFTD. Not willing to dive into a full total conversion yet, it's been 4 years since I played OG xcom and want to start TFTD with just some bonus visuals.

So, I'm playing my first play through of UFO:Defense, currently in the month of August.

I have two Skyranger capable bases with teams, Power suits, Blaster Launchers, Mind Probes and Firestorms... but I wonder if the game is supposed to throw so many damn Ethereals at me!

I have recently shot down 2 large UFO's and one small one in central Africa. I have base in Southern Africa and Iraq/Syria. [it was a good spot]
I'm getting a bit angry that the game is lasting so long and I want them to attack a base.

I seem to only be running into large UFO's with TONS of Ethereals on board, that immediately proceed to mind r*pe my troops as soon as I get into LOS.
Leading me to rely on Heavy Weapon Platforms, solely.

This one crash site had 23! Ethereals.... it was really impossible. Playing on veteran difficulty, and like a challenge and did very well in Xcom 2012 [I didn't lose Firaxis!]
"That's X-Com baby!" So I am expecting a challenge.

The next mission after this one was crashed Terror ship with Ethereals and Sectopods, so the game is mixing it up a bit.

TLDR: I'm just wondering if the game is stuck spamming Ethereals?
