Sweet! Is that supposed to be like a mini-base mission?

Pirate TV:
An early to midgame mission with very little loot and mostly civilians plus faction security. The point here is to show off. You go into a TV station and send your own programme for a time, telling the world how awesome (and good looking) you are. Success would net you a lot of points for your monthly report, but every civvie you kill lowers your score. Maybe you'd have to grab an item with a high score value, or destroy something like in some of the TftD missions. Unlike mansions killing everyone should not be a viable option. Maybe have the pogrom victims on the enemy team, to discourage the killing of innocents.

Edit: And maybe a chance that the offended faction starts looking for your hideout, as you exposed yourself so much.

It only gives you fully trained rookies whenever you need them if you always have a secondary team trained. It is not like you get to buy trained rookies, they still need time in there. Time that you might not have if a baby nuke just took out most of your primary team.

You probably meant 98E then, with 96E I thought it should already be in.

545
My Skyranger seems to fly just fine without chems. And it has a lot more range than 625 miles. Are you sure this works?

546
It was even in Antactica. :D

547
Can grenades cook off when they are in fire? Or do some trees explode? I had a fire going in a night mission, wooded snowy map. And I am not sure what exploded, but there were several explosions in the fire. Might have been where enemies dropped, but it was hard to see.

I on the other hand love the "pretty pictures" and the fluff research. It makes the world feel more alive. It is already amazing that a lot of the country research, that would be fillers in a lot of games, actually have meaning beyond explaining the world. By giving you the contacts research and maybe even other stuff.
It is annoying that you often don't know what kind of new research possibilities you got, but I know it is an engine thing. And the "mark as seen" button really helps in that regard.

I have only read the first 4 pages yet, but I'd love to join the team.

Name: Merry Diane

You are in now! Though slightly wrong name for the first 2 missions.

Regarding a German translation: It would spoiler me too much at the moment, haven't seen the endgame for a while. And I really shouldn't pick up another tast at the moment. I might have more time later this year.

And I hardly use the RCF one either if I can use the Assault Rifle. :D

Also the AK could be of a 5.45mm variant, or whatever. And I doubt any of these rounds would do good against plaststeel enhanced bodyarmor. Even 7.72x51 NATO should have trouble with that.

Sure, despite having no clue about programming, it seems rather difficult because of the difference. At least JA2 already had the possibility to spend more points to aim.

Something else: I'm at the end of November of the first year, and I have yet to see the academy. :D
I'll find them eventually. (here's the link, if anyone is interested in a German let's play, new gals are always welcome.)

You are pirates, only attack what you can bring down. No need to kill everything in sight. I'd wait for better arms.

553
I like the way they did it in JA2 1.13, where you can spend more action points for longer bursts.

Well, my pirates stop them for political reasons, not ethical.

But I like the job thing. If it was just a robbery then mutants wouldn't be a prime target I think. Though, even they probably have more than the raiders.

A lore question: why do the raiders, who are mutants themselves, go on mutant prgroms?
