The personal labs supply the "Study" keyword too. This really confused me for a while and I got real backed up on research.

Silly stupid little question, what is with all the tiny "ufos" I spot moving around sometimes? In really huge numbers? I'm guessing they're just large concentrations of people moving about but is there anything to do with them? ... Should I be concerned?

I don't remember these little guys in the last version I played.

I really don't know, I had a similar experience with my first month too, a few landings I took care of well followed by a progrom early in the next month, though I jumped at the chance to get good guns and did the progrom. That actually went pretty well for me all things considered.

I had to pass on a tower and a rodeo in south america after that, and I hit some ships to close off month 2. But I got like a negative 200 score at the end. Next month was more eventful and I did more research and actually got to do a few landings and other things, but my score dipped to -400.

Then I had a super eventful and nice month and took out like, a church, two warehouses, a rodeo, a humanist ship and another progrom. ... -900 and I'm warned.

Looking in my save there was like 1000 or so points worth of activity in australia I couldn't do anything about, and a lot all the way down south in africa. I barely got an UNARMED ship that can reach most spots on the map from europe by then. I have no idea if I was supposed to do things differently or if I just got fucked by RNG.

Man I feel so dumb for finally asking this. I've been having a hell of a time adjusting to the new early game since the changes that brought the airbus and so on into the game, and I really don't know if this is me not getting enough coverage fast enough somehow or if I'm just mismanaging research horrifically badly. It always feels like my score starts dipping horrifically because of too heavy activity in areas either I can't reach or I can't see in yet...

Anyone have any advice for someone still stuck in the starter Bonaventura era mentally?

If you have any scorpion stings sell them real quick, they're bugged when combat is involved and just vendor trash from what I understand anyway.

I grabbed a bunch of music from Apoc and hacked up a quick mod of it, seems to work pretty well.

Would it be possible to just, I don't know. Not generate the progroms until the research is done then? Likely just as fucky but maybe cutting things off at the root is better if there's a way.

Mixed clothing IS adventurer and scout clothing though. And it's not that uncommon.

I checked my save, very closely, apparently a base went up super early and that was likely causing the cascading point drain to a lose I couldn't prevent at all. That would explain it... Though I don't know if it's a misconfiguration or a freak accident.

Inactivity maybe then? Maybe I just got in a bad habit of waiting for missions to pop instead of following ships a few months in. I just thought it was weird since in my own game I got a first month score of -300, then a second month of -1200, then it was 200 the month after. Very weird

The score is supposedly not affected, and it looks like it shouldn't be. But in actual practice for me sometimes the score takes a massive hit out of nowhere.

I took a peek into my saves, and made more with some exploratory edits. There are huuugee "Alien" scores popping up in north america which I have zero ability to reach, Over 1000 points worth. Weirdly enough I appear to have some points in the region despite not being able to reach it at all. I also noticed I had a -300 in china for some reason, despite china being close enough I actually do a lot there. Something is weird.

It feels like something is still not quite right with the score system, sometimes I do fine and other times I get a huge negative hit out of nowhere that I can't find an explanation for. Either that or I don't know how to find missions with the airbus well enough yet.

It's mostly how quick they are that makes them annoying, running a fresh girl in front of a rat is a good way to get shot at. They lose a lot of their bite after you can bring shotguns to the villages though. The newest pirate has a better than average chance of dropping a rat even with a domestic shotgun.

Well if it's too large, how about this one I made an attempt to edit? Slimmer and has a recolored spraygun magazine.

I'm no artist but hey wont learn if you don't try right?
