Bogey swarms and Shadow Lamp have been the bane of my three campaigns so far.

Should be incentivizing to play more/get better to handle the higher difficulties to receive and enjoy the unplayed content. I don't believe that should be deemed a bad design choice.

Just be ready to wrestle/wrench/stun Govt and it'll be fine. Capitalize on your melee gals. More money, more loot, no deaths, no score hit.

By mid-late game I try to make 1 of my last 5 hideouts a dedicated factory base. Ideally have 3 total super late game, with at least one of them having a hangar for craft production. The first of these may be a plantation base and/slaves/exotic dancers holding base.

And not before I have my first 3 'standard bases',

I don't seem to be getting the CBT events to trigger for the individual tournaments, beyond the initial announcement event. It's been 4-5 months since that first notice, but nothing.

Spoiler:
Getting the CBT chain started and going is my only hiccup left for the School Graduation via VIP room for Analytics.
Do I need to not

have certain facilities down already (I'm already at Luxury Spa going into 2nd year) for the event triggers,
or is the RNG really just that bad?

Any insight would be appreciated. Either in DMs to avoid spoilers public or otherwise.

Game crashes attempting Sunken Treasure mission in Sea of Japan regarding unknown race: STR_GHOST_UNDERWATER. Save game and SS attached.

Only mods used are Torchwood's Armors, Vd Music Addon v1.3.2, Stuffies v0.052, Piratez Cities Lore. Disabling these addons and attempting the missions still simulates the same crash and message.

Edit: Running with the latest XPiratez version release V.N7.0.2 and OXCE Brutal AI 7.9.23

I get plenty of ninja activity and bases than I know what to do with.
Maybe 1-2 each of Traders and Mercenaries bases out of the bunch (found so far).
My air game came really late in the first year, but it's been hella fun as a result of the Ninja takeoever. It's funny to see the areas they consolidated into mainly where I have no real coverage opposite of my bases.

Mod is fine. Please don't change anything. I seldom still get rats and bandits, but only as base attacks (which are fine to me for more xp/commendations farm, among all the other factions constantly attacking my bases).

Keep doing what you've been doing, Dio.

Edit: Yes, there are still upper 40s of bases on the globe.

I'm having particularly good results with Blackmarch/Europe with gray codex/dumbass captain, catgirls, power. Gambling events + rng events give me random gnomes/LOTS of boots, that I've never seem short of OP gnomes. Unless this is really RNG, and not tied to blackmarch/dumbass captain in any way. Literally gnomes out my ears for three bases.

Feeling to airspeeders/piranhas with seagulls/x2 25mm cannons have kept me decent results after the first summer. Provided I can get enough money for the overcharged radars by July.

Hectic, but a fun challenge + brutal AI that I enjoy. Guess I'm autistic.

Do not change X-Piratez to please anyone of current age, who don't get the core concept of the dev's design of gameplay.

Same for X-Files.

It wouldn't be the same game for the dev going outside of their original vision for the sake of pleasing a current crowd that cannot change their own habits/routines/mindset to play x/y/z games.

They're used for detecting high camo enemies such as BL Assassins.

Additionally, useful for noobie agents on night missions with still poor night vision. Provided, you know how to tactically place and utilize them.
