Offtopic / Re: Sabre Team (Swat game based on Xcom)

Never heard of this game before, but I clearly remember my time spent playing Laser Squad on ZX Spectrum. :)

In my case it is %game install folder% -> user(folder) -> xcom2(folder again) -> screen000.png
Hope it'll help to someone.:)

Was amused to see another Windows 7 admirer. It still rocks with Linux(sometimes).
Notepad++. Trying to get back to C++ coding. So far Installed Microsoft Edge, but was told it's far from the best, and not so useful by pros.

Hit ratio shows chance to hit particular "central" voxel, not unit itself.
Last time I did uninstall C++ 10+ years ago, but I presume OpenXCOM uses pixel model, not voxel? Or volume measurements was implemented especially for OpenXCOM? UFO 1993 is too old for voxel algorythms. Maybe :)
If hit ratio is shown for a central voxel, then it must be harder to hit a whole body. But what I see now, it's working vice versa.  :-[

It can't be truth. At least, for the nightly.
Well, this is my own observations based on hundreds of reloads. Sure I can be wrong, since stats science can't even rely on millons sampling.  :)

and you can miss with 110%.
That's right, sometimes it happens. :)

With this option enabled, it now shows hit %, but accuracy works in some "magic" way.
1. I've noticed that for hit ratios below 50%, a real probability to hit a target is far less than 50%.
2. But if my soldier standing right before an alien, hit ratio is about 100%, even if indicator states 33%.  :)
3. Closer to the end of game, aimed shots shown with 100+% hit ratios. ;) I've tried to reload game tens of times, and it's really hard to miss with 110% hit probability. :)
Should this be considered as game defect, or such a change must be released as game patch?
I do have some shooting experience, and understand that such effects as derivation, or "bullet likes the sun" won't work in XCOM, but I could modestly advise to change shooting accuracy coefficients. ::)

Troubleshooting / Re: Do I have to open new account with BugTracker?

post the saved game here and i'll take a look.
It seems I forgot an ancient IT wisdom - "Have You Tried Turning It Off And On Again?". This is a citation from "IT Crowd" movie, and it's about shutting down PC. Now just tried to reload game about 20 times, and game did not crash even once.

P.S. Just opened a BugTracker account. Phew. :)

I finally found "Save scumming" ingame, I think I turned this trigger already using hex editor. )
I also encounter constant collision form glitches, when firing from behind wall corner. A shooter much likely will hit a wall corner, rather than its target.

I already registered here, and do not endorse registering a new account on same forum.
Additionally I failed to pass security check.  :(
I've made a savegame, where game always crashes.

2015 will be year of TFTD.

This would be most appreciated! If I can help as tester, please PM. I don't have much time, but I have experience with commercial game projects. :)

Hi,
I've changed random numbers generator seed creation in .ini file, so new seed is generated every time I reload. Just encountered several cases when reloading doesn't help. :) It's not much a problem, since it is easy to solve it by moving my soldier closer to an alien. :)

Sometimes I encounter situations, where my troop always misses. Just for fun, I've reload more than hundred times. Tested with snap or sniper shots, and 32% hit probability. I'm not sure if there will be a miss with next reload, so I just came closer to an alien. )))
