Just try again. It took me like three "one year" runs to grasp some of the stuff. And after that, I have done several "Until december 2602" runs to get some of the middle game grasp.

I will attach my current run. It is not perfect, I have made several errors, like chasing for early workshop and struggle to get it because RNG. I'm trying to get shadowmasters now to get better craft, and I'm starting expanding the radar / hangar coverage. And I need to research new missions, 'cause I'm getting a little behind in the getting new stuff department. Getting airballs / 25mm cannon is vital if you want a good progression early. And yes, brainers are absurdly important here. The mod can forgive you lot of stuff, but getting extremely behind in tech is not one of then.  When you start losing the night vision advantage, and does not have the proper equipment, you're scrubbed.

There should be a disclaimer in every mod page that says "it will be done when it's done"

I think it will take at least some more months until we have news about new versions. And I trust it will be amazing. Taking this time will give Dio a lot of new perspective. And K2/K3 are going to be one of the most tested versions of the mod. We will surely see some very interesting changes.

It is an interesting proposal but a little overwhelming. I would vote adding dirt on top. And the alien hangar section can be a spawn point, as on player base defenses.

My only complaint with the new systems is that salaries are just too high now. Particularly playing with male touch, and needing a bigger roast, salaries are just prohibitive now. I'm not against having ranks and higher salaries for all the soldiers, but at least for lokk, peasants and ss is just too much to have the same increase as gals.

You can do it even in ironman. Just copy/paste the save. Heck, access to the savefile is so easy that if you are going to cheat, you will do it anyway.

I don't think the feature has a possibility.

It existed long time ago. It was removed. If I remember correctly, it interfere with some intended mechanism, and was kinda cheaty.

What do I do? I don't have automatic save. I have a save the last day of the month, and a working save. Working save is just for when I end playing for the day. I allow myself to repeat the month if it was too bad. I never ever save during missions (Except because I finished playing for the day, but try not to anyways). I unbind quick load / quick save, so no easy access to "accidental loading". If feeling cheaty,  I allow myself a middle month checkpoint.

It is not precisely a super honorable system, but is a compromise between 'macho' Ironman and "loading/reloading cycle until alien miss"

Just updated and played a little... gosh, the new range system gets my finances to hell!. Playing male touch now is just getting harder. Those salaries for Slaves and Peasants adds up quickly... And I have a princess now, That gal cost a lot.

Side note: Voodoo strength used for the voodoo orb (panic and mind control) is V.Power * V.Skill.
Max stat hybrid: 75 * 75 = 5625
Max stat gal in Witch armor: 81 * 70 = 5670
So a hybrid can be just as good as a weirdgal at using a voodoo orb. The hybrids inbuilt psi is ~10% weaker than a voodoo orb.

I think that is ok, because all other stats of a gal are superior

The thing with male touch is that slave soldiers are not as strong or start with as much stats than gals, they are more fragile, and the armor selection is not as good as with the gals. After crusader / demolition armor, things get a little more bearable. And you need to get accustomed to lose more troops. It is kinda harsh in the early game. You need to know more the game. Know with which enemies use smoke, have more numbers, been better with different units, take more care of the small number of gals you are going to find. But it is an interesting way to take. I just sacrifice lot of peasants so my other units can get better stats, and then they get very usable. There are some battles where you.want to push above your current level, where gals are going to be better, but the gross of your battle can be done with other units without an excessive hurdle.

Their stats grow normally. If you want to gave them more stats increase, use armors that give more XP. Sailor, gym suit, bikini, brainer, etc.

After OXCE 5.4, moving facilities is removed. I do also think it is a shame. BTW, if I remember correctly, J16 comes with OXCE 5.4, so you should be able to do it yet.
