sounds more like ufo aftershock . the laputa is an alien vessel tho and the humans lerned to use it as thay go across an apolitic earth, thay still need land baces for manufacturing and advanced reserch tho

If you look at medieval armour or even modern kevlar, there's actually several usable design of 'skirt' or crotch protection (ahem) that allow for varying mobility or protection. Personally I think they all look fairly obstructive but if you want a big tanky suit then limited mobility is usually in keeping with that, so it'd be a good way of communicating it visually. Probably the hardest part is doing them in a way that looks practical but not overly 'ornate', due to the usual association with fantasy armours.

Also 'females of sirius' sounds like some kind of top shelf special interest magazine. :D

2x1 is not possible; it has to be square. But there is no upper limit (even 5x5 should work). And yeah I'm planning on expanding this small mod when I have the time, first 2x2 stores, then "Falko Space Program" 3x3 workshop, and we'll see what's more :)

Bed numbers: my small quarters have 18 beds, big quarters have 84. It's below the intended capacity (25 and 125 respectively) but not outrageously so :) I still want to create "radar base living quarters" for 10-15 people as you don't usually want to garrison more people there; it'd probably have some storage space too.

 aww one can dream i gess of the 1x2 T_T i wanted work shops and labs that size but ohh well

i had an ideia last night maby  armors with masks on like the flying souts can have incresed light tiles do to a nv mudual  in the helmet

Currently the only way to have male and female versions of the same unit is by creating TWO separate units.
In the case of corporate security I have only one "unit slot" available, so I have to choose: male or female; I'm going with male.

 ohh well fair enught :-X

Agree with Dioxine that the nicest look for the tanks would be to have an artist do some nice 320x200 images for the vehicles similar to the craft screens.  You can almost do that without a code change, but would probably want to be able to move the stat and text sections around, which you can't do just from the ruleset. 

Mostly, I wanted to experiment and see how easy it was to print up unit battlescape sprites on the UFOpaedia screens - I think that could be quite useful for modders who want to show pictures on their UFOpaedia pages but can't find relevant art.

i like this vary mutch :D hope you can make this into a mod plugin
