I came across this game when looking for turn based games similiar to xcom,its still on early access and only has a short demo so far but it looks like a mix of old and newcom,having the half and full cover mechanics as well as the two action system which lets you do any two actions apart from overwatch,you can free fire in this game and can take down some types of cover with fire or cause enemies to panic and lose action points by supressing them.

I wonder what is the opinion of people here about it as i believe this is somewhat close to the original xcom in terms of it's turn based combat system

What strategies do you use when you just want to have fun with stupid loadouts?
My personal favorite is the full fire team of fire resistant armor with some firebombs incase they find a power armor wondering outside the ship.

Offtopic / How many of you found xcom or TFTD bugs?

DOS or PS1 bugs of the original game,especialy bugs that are rare and dont usualy appear at normal play.I learned that hobbes found the weird HWP panic bug and i was wondering what other bugs people found during their own personal play.

It might seem to a bit unbalanced to know how much damage you did on a enemy but considering we have tftd damage calculation available i dont see it as much of a issue.It wouldnt hurt anyone as it and tftd calculation are options so if anyone doesnt like that they would simply turn it off.

Considering that fact that opentftd exists and is there are various elements from it in UFO as mods,i wondered why not have a mod that makes mixed crews be completely random like tftd,we could have etherials with mutons or sectopods with cyberdisks

Open Feedback / Crash when starting a terror mission

I had lukes mod that changes some layouts on terror missions and at first i thought that it was the source of the problem.But even after i removed it i still have this problem

i started new battle on terror mission and the crash still applies.

Open Feedback / White screen with music

The game crashed previously when i started a terror mission which was modded.so i then went to disable the mod and restart but the screem turned white and then scaled back to the menu scale with music but still with the white screen
I deleted all files from the data folder but i still have the problem.

I have 64 bit,do i have to change something in my computer or do i have to do something else,i formated my pc and my friend gave me a usb with all the vanila pre setup xcom content but when i run setup it says that my version of windows isnt compatible.
Any help would be appreciated

IF sectopods are under mind control by ethereal's shouldnt they be deactivated or stuned if the ethereal MC'ing it is killed or stunned?

I had 2 operatives inside a demolished terrorship with floaters,i hadn't had enough tu to move a soldier on the second floor of the ship so i sent someone with a flying suit to tank the damage.The floater did the unthinkable and while still aiming for the initial target,went down a floor bypasing the solder with the flying suit and repositioned itself to shoot the soldier that was guarded.
And the A.I. was in beginer may i add.
