Just don't use wine for openxcom. Compile own version from git, there no problem to do it.

OpenXcom uses brand-new® slashes (/) as delimeters for folders. Backslashes (\) are "escaping character" (in terms regular expression meaning). Just replace '\' with '/' and all will be OK.

I forgot to mention, this problem not of OpenXcom, but yaml-cpp. JonnyH done awesome work (https://github.com/jbeder/yaml-cpp/commit/b426fafff6238dda8d86fa668f585cba732dd272) to fix some regressions in library. Unfortunately, 0.5.3 no yet released.

STR_AMMUNITION_AVAILABLE in English is "Ammunition Available" which broke in two lines automatically, so I guess, text area for this string are intentionally placed slightly upper than others (https://github.com/SupSuper/OpenXcom/blob/master/src/Basescape/CraftWeaponsState.cpp#L55). To workaround I added {NEWLINE}.

Судя по шрифту, у Вас включен мод AmigaFonts. У этого шрифта чуть более широкие символы. Попробуйте для начала отключить его и посмотреть результат.

I believe there should be some efforts from openxcom.com mod-site and someone that will be coordinator on transifex. Integration will be little complicating, since modsite threats mods as completed zip-files.

Does anyone have a prebuilt yaml-cpp.lib and a yaml-cppd.lib file for 64 bit windows that they could share? I'm at my wits end.
There no 64-bit Windows build. As stated here, use Win32.

About 60 % of TFTD strings is same as UFO, so there should no problem to translate it really quick.

Ok, so I went in and created an account at transifex. I also fiddled around with it a bit, and I went to the Greek translation of openxcom. I Did a couple of those and saved them (up to n#800, the plasma pistol). Is that all it takes for the files to be ready for you guys to use or I am missing something?

If I get this right I will try and finish this, since it seems to be very much incomplete.

That should suffice. At next nightly update you will get updated translations. You can also overwrite translation file directly from Transifex. Download it and rename to your language file (el.yml).
