Solarus, Your idea still reminds me of the UFO tv show.  But much, much better! 

I believe there is a terrain by Hobbes (I think?) where the Skyranger is replaced by a APC.  I wonder if that can get resurrected?  That would fit perfect with your idea here.  Even if simply to dig up some of the work and you apply your considerably skillz toward it.

You know...you don't need a blessing from above to have a stable point.

Start a thread and simply come to an agreement on which nightly is a good endpoint.  Once divined, consider that version OpenXcom 1.1.  Thats the version everyone considers plateau if they so choose.  Put a link of it on the mod site.  Mention it in the download of your mod.  Etc.

IMO, asking the Vactican to give you a new Pope is going to be a small exercise of frustration.

StatStrings should just modify the name of a purchased soldier.  Thats it.  Should not superimpose over a name on just certain screens.  I use statstrings during recruiting, but after that...he's Jacob StrongArms, Jake Tesla, or Rookie.  His name is mine after that.

Thoughts?

Curious...Can one take a inprogress game using nightlies and merge in the Soldier Diaries mod.  I love the mod, can't wait to play it..but I have an ongoing game I would hate to end.   

Any assistance would be helpful.

Besides dead bodies and corpses, I don't think those objects are ever displayed in game.
