Okay I will do a few things so you can upload your files SupSuper and hard code it in and set the standard limit to 200mb... When I create the admin login area we can have a global upload limit and we can then set per-upload limits per users that are verified. For now I'll hard code those 200mb for all users and 1gb for username SupSuper

Upload File button doesn't seem to work for me at all, nothing happens after I select a file.
Special characters in the mod title (eg. ') break the url.
\ in mod descriptions disappear unless you manually escape them.

Thank you! Please keep the website bugs/issues coming I will knock them all out. Btw Sup I know you asked me to increase the upload limit to something much higher, what was that amount? I'll add it in. Afterwards we will have Site Moderators / Admin functionality so we can have people work and help manage the site... With the bugs fixed it's pretty much self managed but it will be nice to have an Admin panel for site moderators. =) Thank you for the reports!

All issues will be fixed and resolved this week I promise.. I have some projects that turned really really big and it consumed most my time... But I have made the changes to manage my time and I can now own my time...  I will be putting a lot more attention to the website here on forward and make sure any issue is resolved as quickly as possible... I spen't a lot of time building the site, 2 months that were so exciting to see each part of the website being built and come to life.. I have a strong commitment to OpenXcom and also the ModSite which is why I built it in the first place...  While I did give most my time to the project I launched I can now give full dedication and commitment to the maintenance of the website and give it the love it needs just as before -- life happens soz! So to summarize I will have all these issues fixed all of them very quickly.... Once these issues are fixed the modsite will be great and better..... And after that we can do more... I can now manage better between the two projects and make sure all issues are resolved ASAP with the modsite.. It's an important resource and it's very important to me and to you all I hope =) I'm not going anywhere and we're going to have this modsite for a very long time... I'm committed to it and I love it and all things XCom.... And eventually (hopefully soon!) we're going to have a few new sections going up... Like an upload repository where people can upload resources images sounds stuff they want to share.. This was something that someone mentioned would be great.. But any how, patch work in progress =) We WILL make it perfect (code is code). Commander out.

These issues are not difficult to resolve that is the good thing so we will be back 100% shortly. I was under the impression that uploads and downloads were working since my last update in June but was recently informed by Solar.. No worries commanders these will be fixed quickly.

Little quirks??
I beg your pardon?

It is really commendable Hobbes that you want to encourage people in what they are doing and help the community and all that stuff... but in this case, your praise is really NOT justified.

I just checked when I reported the bug (it wasn't February 2016, it was actually August 2015).
Since then, nothing happened and it still doesn't work... for 15 months now.

Here is the original not working mod download from August 2015: https://www.openxcom.com/mod/test123

And here is one I created just 5 minutes ago, still suffering the same symptoms: https://www.openxcom.com/mod/test456

PS: the file size is just 161 bytes... I hope that doesn't count into category "file size too big".

This will be #1 priority and will be fixed asap.. We are going to fix the mod names that are bugged as well as increase file size. Are there any other issues that need to be taken care of? Basic operations of the site are #1 priority and will be resolved very quickly. Thank you for following up! All will be fixed and resolved soon promise!

Hello!

We are currently working on a number of changes to the modsite which will greatly enhance website experience.. One of many will be to increase file size and improve the uploader function as well as increasing the file size of uploaded files. We are are adding lots of new features including a new admin capability which will allow us to add website administrators to the modsite.

Please let us know what features you would like to see so we can add this in our production of this new phase. We definitely would love to hear from you and know what new features and changes you would like to see. =)

Surprise surprise, still doesn't work.

EDIT: Since the upload still hasn't been fixed (for months), and now I can't even log into my account, and therefore have no control over my works, I request deletion of my account. I will have to distribute the mods myself. The reason is that I can't update anything and people are downloading old versions of mods because they can't find newer ones.

I will be glad to return when the portal's fixed, but right now I'm just unable to sort out this mess between the players, the versions etc.

I have located the issue and fixed it can you please try to upload? I had missed the notification on this thread and just saw this now. The issue was caused due to an automatic update and it's been fixed now. Automatic updates have been disabled so we are good now. Please check this again and let me know.

Looks like there's now a nice post on mod portal advertising its cool features...

Which post is this? I would like to see.

UPDATE: I am having our datacenter provision a new server which is far faster and will also be hosting UFOPaedia.org webiste. We are currently waiting for the datacenter to complete the new server build and it will be running on quad SSD raid10 providing very high performance so both sites will enjoy the benefit of high uptime, fast website load times, and a farly superior reliability and stability of service. The server will be available today so we hope to have all these things taken care of in the next day. Will keep you posted.

All right, but please report if you succeeded.

Will be fixed shortly.

Some recent info located at https://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/topic/11302-resignation-as-ufopaedia-administrator/#entry150583 and at https://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/forum/96-ufopaediaorg/

This is sad terrible news. I know how important the UFOpaedia is very important to all things related. Does anyone know who is running this? I will be happy to put it on one of my very powerful servers for free. I have websites that do 2 million hits so the server will never have downtime issues due to load. The modsite for example has a giant high resolution image as the background but still loads very fast.

I've been unable to upload anything over the past weeks and generate a working download link. Neither was Dioxine.

I'm officially done with the site, at least for now. Dropbox will have to suffice.

Hello! Sorry I just saw this now. I will check this to see what is the problem. We just moved to a new host so this might have been the issue with uploads working. Please stand by while we fix this.
