Ahhhh...

I only need one. I thought I had Alien Origins. I still need to capture an Alien though. That should sort me then. I misread the P3 as needing all of the prerequisites as I thought I had that tech.I mistook it for Alien biology, or Acnient Aliens, or Alien Language... or something else with the word alien in.

Oh... I did not realise you needed to be above a city... I never scroll in that far on the geoscape... Although I might need to give the mig a wide birth. Is there an AA weapon for a humvee or little bird?

I left the motion scanner research until very late. There is always a bigger gun...

Not got the Kitsune yet. Noticed that is a P3 anyway. I dont think I have a fast enough vehicle to lure it away yet. Just need to find a UFO landing and punch me a sectoid.

Just on these manor things...

I think I have just entered 1st October 1998.

I just had my osprey shot down by a Mig (I also had a Syndicate base attack last month which was also a major bum ache... the difficulty has just ramped up).

Am i just way behind on research?

Looking at the Promotion 3 research tree.
I have yet to have a cave mission (I think I didnt capture a shambler... I got one a couple of missions ago though)
I have only had 2 cyberweb missions in the sewers and have not found a portal. These dont seem to come up much.
I have not captured a deep one (Not sure how to do this without a Dagon mission... but I completeed the HQ a few months ago... didnt realise I need a live deep one)
I am just waiting for the Black Lotus HQ mission to come up again, and then all of the Cults are done.

I think I have everything else. I have taken down several manors, but I cannot locate any more despite scouting with my Osprey near where I see vehicles activeit(am I doing that wrong?).

Almost all of my misions are Syndicate related at the moment.

Any suggestions?

1. If I research the shambler I should start getting cave missions and into the Dark (If I get an artifact from a cave mission)
2. I guess i have been unlucky with the RNG on Cyberweb
3. How do I get a deep one?
4. Is there another way to spank a MIG?

How do I get to the inventory in the geoscape?

I work this out each time I play the game, and promtly forget how I did it the previous day. I think it may be early onset...

Getting rid of soldiers does not delete data about them. All records of all soldiers, what missions they participated in, how many and what enemies they killed in what mission, and so on, all remain in the save, even if that soldier is killed or fired. Reducing the army will only slow down the growth of information.

Ahhh... makes sense. I just did a mass expansion from 30 troops to nearly 80. More troops have more data. I might have to do some Dagon style human sacrifices to speed up the loading time.

The biggest satisfaction this games beings me is punching people in the head. 1. Its funnier 2. Its cheaper than a stun prod

Training up using a combat knife on zombie missions is a must.

Need to prepare for the "Welcome to Earth" moments when the invasion starts... Sectoids have a glass jaw.

In fact... What we really need in the game is a cigar

Ahhh...

I was panicing because I used up all my high explosives, and keep getting more Cyberweb stuff.

What stuff can penetrate walls?

A pick axe?

Thats a diffferent axe in the picture?

Would a bardiche do the job, as I have one on the backseat?

I had a sewer map withh three connecting rooms across but all of the doors had walls behind.

Fortunately I had some HE to blow a hole in the wall. IS this what I was meant to do. Or did this map have a bug?

Lol...I thought I would give it a go...

And I managed it fine. My Black Ops Sniper rifles owned it pretty much.

I knew I would be fighting 3 tanks, and managed to bring 3 AT RPGs.

The terrain was open I just took everyone out at long range. Maybe my starting position was quite lucky as pretty much everyone was coming in from one direction.

Once I killed 30 the final 15 surrendered. Dont even know where they were hiding

I remember last time I played this there was a huge underground section. I barely made it 20 yards from the Humvee, tbh. I only took a few minor wounds too.

I much prefer deploying from a Humvee. Its far better than the more advanced transports as it allows an Alpha stirike on the first turn (IMHO). I dont think the Dragonfly is worth it for 3 extra people, as it is a hassle getting them onto the field, without knowing whats around you.

I also much prefer an open field, as you can target the bad guys easier. Terrain allows them to sneak up. Most cults only have shorter range weapons... Well that is my theory anyway.

I remember the jungle one with the pyramid structure was a tricky one... And the invisible ninjas too... or was that in an undrground base too? Maybe that was an easier one. Too long ago...

I have another question... Dont want to start a new thread

I have just had the Red Dawn base spawn. I only have humvees though, and I am not sure I can take down a base with 5 men.

Will the base despawn, and if so how long will it take to respawn?
