Remember someone asking before but can't find it: is there a weapon/tool that would train V.SKILL up from 0 value, but for non-Gal soldiers?
For Gals "Powers of Seduction" did the trick but others can't wear that outfit (Lokks and regular Humans).
Wish to avoid VooDoo facility training method if possible.

Based on my understanding of the mechanics, armors that boost Voodoo ability break the check that normally prevents leveling up Voodoo without basic training. At least, that's how earlier exploits around it worked.

Weight of Gauss Weapons especially the Pistol. Not that I care for it statwise but because it makes zero sense for the civilians to use it. Feeble human soldiers and operatives would immediately Nope out of it and request XG guns, or the engineers would "scale down" the size to fit human physiques.

Based on my understanding of the lore, people don't have much choice on what technology is available to them and all humans have significant amount of mutant ancestry. Look at the high-ranking humanists; they're supposedly the purest "pureblooded", but can rival the ubers in toughness and speed.

Starting a new game after skipping one update, the early-mid balance feels much better than earlier. The changes and additions help fill opportunity gaps while keeping the challenge. GOTY material.

I'm not sure, but I think robots in general have no stun recovery?

A "stunned" robot represents a state where it's disabled, but not wrecked.

Did the OXCE update change damage RNG? I seem to get a lot more extreme values, either high or low. Weak armor blocks strong attacks more often, and weak guns get through strong armor more often.

You can check what an interrogation can give in the tech viewer and research the other available options first to cut down the possible outcomes. Often, you can more than double the changes of getting something useful.

Melee attacking enemies standing on the top part of stairs seems broken, all attacks miss.

Made base to Middle-East (between Wraithbane and The Library) and in first month didnt saw single landed UFO. So i also missed Fugitive search orders.. and missed whole Doc X chain by it? Is docX needed for gameplay advancement or can i just skip it? On the other hand its now jul 2602 and there has been 0 base assaults so far so..

You can also get the research by interrogating nurses.

I wish high-level bravery would be rebalanced in general, but that would require an engine update and data file updates to unmodded content.

My first attempt at modifying sprites. I took the wooden wall from the default urban tileset and tried to make a "ruined" looking version, with a part of the structural elements exposed. How it is? Is the format usable?

If you can get the needed research, a single armored car with a bit of support should be enough to deal with early base assaults. They have enough mobility to shoot several enemies and hide in one turn, and enough armor to tank a few reaction shots if things go wrong. They fall off hard when enemies bring bigger energy weapons, though.
