XPiratez / Re: Bugs & Crash Reports
« on: November 01, 2019, 04:56:36 pm »
The technomancer's examination refuses to be researched.  Both the live and dead technomancer can be researched, and yet it still won't show up.

Edit: Has it always been that when a tamed werewolf hits with its claw attack, it takes stun damage for some reason?  It doesn't seem right to me.

Yeah.  Because eventually they get sleepy from all of that Corpse Eating...

I hope you upped the storage limits, 10 prisoners seems low when you can house 50 agents in the same space, especially considering how much research there is from captures.

Well, when you consider Shift Sleeping and hot bunking, with no change in environment conditions - you can house 30 people in 10 beds.  So its not *totally* out of the question - especially if you're a cheap tight builder :)

Now, Prisoners don't get to sleep in Shifts...  And isolating individuals does take space unless you're basically cryo-tubing them.

I'm surprised we got this far without a "Rizzo"

it´s my fault since i´m not showing the WIP, but the grey knights are almost complete that will bring consequences on research choices
(there is no other way of doing diplomacy) also there is Orc races and missions present, the chances are just small compared to chaos
i see what you mean by choosing enemy´s (but making the enemy fleet (ufo maps) for each race is hardest task ever) witch limit´s theme to chaos enemy´s. Also i´m currently adding other chapter´s so player can choose and create their own.
I see a mission where you can help other chapter´s, but that goes a bit against the lore of the game (2 chapter´s in the planet?) There is one mission where you can help an outpost with other marines of the same chapter and get a special unit.
About Necron´s, i have just one model made, but still covering other ground´s, saying they won´t appear soon

Absolutely can have multiple chapters fighting on the one planet - even directly assisting each other.

It just has to be a Major-Ass Battle...  Like the Battles for Armageddon....   Sector-Shattering-Stuff.

Open Feedback / Re: saucer repair time
« on: February 19, 2018, 04:06:26 pm »
I build the Firestorm in 6 days.
Repairing takes 26+ days?!
Something needs to change.

Another way to look at it is this:

In 6 days, you built the firestorm from a pile of components, rare parts, and a crapton of money and workshop space...  All that Elerium, the Engine, the Alien Alloys...

...  when you are basically having to *rebuild* it after it comes back in tatters, you do so...  without consuming a single square foot of workshop space...  alien alloy...  Elerium iota...  control computer...  etc.

That takes time.  A lot of time.  In trade for not consuming components.

...  If  you want to have it rebuilt in 6 days, then you're just going to have to get rid of the wreck and actually *rebuild* it from a new pile of undamaged components :)

So Cute.

Kill it.

...  with fire.

Does it make sense that the van is so much slower than the car? The car has speed 200 and the van 75.
You take the same plane and then rent a van instead of a car, how come the plane is suddenly so much slower?

Heh, I figured the Speed was an Average...  And you spend more time getting through Airport Security with more Guys... More time having to bribe more TSA Agents...  More Paperwork for a Van versus the Car, because you're dealing with U-HAUL rather than an actual Car Rental Company that lets you fill everything out before time

Joking, of course, but that's basiaclly how it works in my mind :D

Is there a reason theres a public / van, but no private / van? Seems kinda a no brainer we would have one..

Well, the Public is basically stating that they're taking Public Transit, and then in the end, hiring a Van...

Because that's the only way they'd be able to guarantee to get anywhere they need to, when they need to, in the semi-potentially-reasonable time they do...

...  But man, those Chupacabra-induced Insurance premiums must be hell.

They Rent.

And are VERY[/i] good at filling out Damage and Loss Waivers beforehand.

...  I wish I was joking, but that's what I feel is actually happening with the Car / Van available anywhere...

The X-Com Files / Re: Agent Ranks
« on: January 09, 2017, 06:17:44 pm »

Another thing is, in some cases, you'd have a Rank structure that would incorporate Junior Agent, Agent, Senior Agent and Special Agent, and the first three would all be addressed as "Agent".

It depends on wether the Rank is, for lack of a better term, addressable for Civilian Useage, or outside of the structure itself.

A person with the rank of  "Junior Agent, Second Grade"  would certainly address themselves to an outside as "Agent" then their name.  The full Rank IS applicable to the Group he is with, but essentially, no-one cares on the minutia.

Feel Free to add in Silly Names.  Ranks.  Grades, if you will...  "Gold Shouldered Fancypants" is something you could use, but they'd still call him "General'  :D

OXCE Wishlists / Re: Solar's wishlist

That is quite unrealistic and it turns something that should be punishing for the player and the goal is to avoid it into somehting that rewards player.

Why is it unrealistic?

If I believe myself unassailable, I should be able to PROVOKE an enemy into hastily attacking my Fortified settlement because they don't know any better....

The X-Com Files / Re: What to do with Zombies?
« on: December 30, 2016, 06:44:26 am »
Zombies (here) don't have to eat people, and especially not their brains. They need Elerium, which is generally found in other Zombies.

I shall endeavour to refer to them from this point on as NotZombies :D

I just realized: since we have Zombie troopers now (thanks to Nord), then maybe we can actually use the Zombies for ourselves? Zombie defence squad, anyone?

Still more Questions to ask.

Do you have to pay them in advance in Brains, or do they get to eat what they kill, mercenary style?

/edit: We should also probably tone down that zombie death rattle - it's significantly louder than anything else.

No Way, my Toddler cheers from across the room when he hears it....  :D
