You still have the original floppy?  That's awesome!  Any chance of some pics?

Hey all,

I wrote a saved game editor that does all the usual things: https://www.rubikscomplex.net/ufosge/

Feedback welcome!

IIRC, Visual Studio Express editions don't support the addition of resource files.  Wasn't that one of the semi-arbitrary restrictions Microsoft put on it in order to distinguish it from the full 'professional' editions?

Hi all!

I like your stuff Mark!

I'm a software engineer who's currently slumming it as a medical student (big change I know).  I've loved UFO:EU since I first discovered it as a kid and wasted many hours playing it that probably should have been studying :)

I haven't contributed anything to openxcom yet, but I like the work done on this project so far, so I'm hunting for places where I can add something.

I've also written a saved game editor for the original game, which anyone is welcome to check out at https://www.rubikscomplex.net/ufosge/ if they're interested - it does all the basics and I'm planning on adding more features!

Anyway, big thanks to michal, supsuper and all the others for starting and continuing the project!

Hi michal,

Yes, a saved game editor.  There's already a million out there, I know; but it's a resurrection of an old one I completed years ago and then lost.

If you're curious, you can check it out here.  It's got just the necessities at the moment, but I've got more in the works.

Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I have a quick questions for SupSuper; I've been looking through the code and I noticed that you've managed to extract the country border line data - the comments seem to indicate that this was from the original executable itself.  Did you extract that data yourself?  If so, how did you find it?

I love your work so far, by the way!

Cheers,
Davorian.
