Hi everybody, just wanted to share a new Race I'm working on and which is based on Dioxine's awesome XpirateZ world. They are the Space Onis, inspired by 80's toon Urusei Yatsura (Lum or Lamù in italian). I think that the over the line style of the characters there fits well with the theme of XPiratez, and who knows maybe I'll be lucky enough to see them included in the game sometimes in the future :).

I'm still new to modding so I'm moving by little step and testing it while I'm playing a normal run in the Game. Graphic is still WIP but I'm pretty happy about how it is turning out.
Stats are a bit random now and I'll probably need some suggestions for tweaking them and make the mod balanced.

For now this is the content of the mod (tested on the latest June release of XPirateZ):

- Space Oni race obtainable after some research post first Nekomimi's encounter in the game (my idea is to have them as long-time rivals then allies against the Stellar Gods)
- Basic armor and Oni warrior armor (still need some finishing in the battlescape sprite)
- Some Ufopedia lore
- A set of 3 weapons based on Getter Energy (for now it's plasma type but I'd like to create a new energy type if possible)
   - pistol
   - rifle
   - cannon

Space Onis are very strong and suited for meelee combat, they can naturally fly (like in the serie), but have no psi power.

Hope to add new armor and weapons and then start working on recolours and hairstyle.

UPDATE:
I've managed to create a preliminary, but still playable race called Space Oni.
The idea is to have them as part of the Piratez lore.
They are n ancient race that once fought war against Nekomimi, but ultimately became allies against star gods.

The race is inspired by old '80 Lum series which somehow I find quite fitting in the uber gals crew.

- Added some research to obtain Space Onis, in particular you must have researched Nekomimis Recruit first
- Added first topics of Oni warfare Technologies, this will allow to research a full set of new energy weapons based Getter energy
- Added Getter Pistol and pistol Clip (edited from a gif by FXStudio)

1 basic bikini armor (the same as the series)
1 bootypedia entry
1 color variation at the moment (would love some suggestion on how to implement color variations)

Planning to add more bootypedia entries to make them appear after finding and researching Nekomimis (and if possible,if it is, please tell me, after reaching a certain rank with 1 nekomimi)
I've got also some ideas for some race-related equipments  based on getter energy, which at the moment of encountering is still underdeveloped.

Some screenshots and the zip file if someone would like to test it and maybe (it would be great =) ) contribute to add things!

Hi everyone, second time posting here. First of all, thanks everyone for every effort on openxcom which is greate, as I'm a long xcom fan. It's almost 2 years that i'm playing X-Piratez and I'd like to try my hands on adding a new playable race for the user.

I can both program and draw so the only thing that I'm finding difficult is to find which ruleset files I would have to modify in order to add and play it.

If some one could kindly point me in the right direction or give me a link to another race mod to help me isolate the correct files, it would be great!

XPiratez / XPirateZ Mission/Soldier/Base trainer for Windows

Hi guys! First time posting here, and I must first and foremost give a big thanks to Dioxine for this awesome mod, which for me now is like a fully fledged game! And also a big thanks to all people working on the OpenXCom platform giving old fans of the series a chance to replay this awesome game.

I'm here also to give something back to the community, if anyone is interest. It's a simple trainer I've developed to speed up the game progress when dealing with game replays and maybe some boring missions (if any). It allows to quick win the missions, as well as giving soldiers temporary 9999TU and 9999EN to easy win a map and still enjoying killing tons of enemies. It can also modify money and base development by allowing changing base elements by swapping them and zeroing construction time.

It's a C# trainer so .net sdk or .net redistributables for win64 are required.

NOTE: current version is compatible with N1 update, and tested with soldiers with standard latin characters names, if there are problems with non latin names please let me know as it's probably an easy fix.
