I made this code in AllienMissions of my submod:

But STR_SECTOID flew to my base in the first month. Okay, they probably came in response to the downed UFO. But why is it written in the save file that they were doing ALIEN_RESEARCH??? In the first month! In accordance with the rules, this race should not engage in ALIEN_RESEARCH before the third month.

Help / Penalty for despawning a crashed UFO

Hi all!
Question about scoring.
In Ruleset Reference Nightly:
"abortPenalty - How many points the xcom will lose when this mission is aborted".  Everything seems to be clear.
"despawnPenalty - How many points the aliens will receive when this site despawns..." the aliens will receive? Not the x-com will lose?
Is it the same? Is what the aliens get deducted from X-com? Or not? What do the aliens get points for?
And the main question: if I want to penalize for despawning a crashed UFO, what and where should I use?

Help / Replacing text in Ufopedia after research.

Hi all!
I want a completed research to change the description of a certain item in the ufopedia.
How do I do this?
I made a copy of this item, which is available initially. After researching, the original appears. How do I hide the copy? The problem is that this item is available from the beginning of the game and if I make a research to it that should be cancelled (I understand how to do that), how do I make that research be completed before the game starts?
Or is there some other way?

Making a submod for the Final Mod Pack. When generating new missions at the end of the month, a crash occurs due to the new race. I can't understand what is the reason and how to fix it. Both mod and save a couple of days before the crash in the attachment. I would be very grateful for help.

Help / Heavy plasma hides the corpse.

Hello.
How does the game determine which bigob to show and which to hide if they are on the same tile? I play FMP + my own submod. Previously, this did not seem to be, but now a heavy plasma hides the corpse. But the plasma rifle does not hide the corpse.
What is broken and where to fix it?

In facilities.rul (standard X-com1)
  - type: STR_SMALL_RADAR_SYSTEM
    radarRange: 1695

  - type: STR_LARGE_RADAR_SYSTEM
    radarRange: 2577

.ufopaedia.org says that means Maximum radar detection range of this facility, in nautical miles.

But in game Ufopedia it is said about 300 and 450 miles respectively. This is mistake?

Hello!
At https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php/Alien_Retaliation there is such a table.
Interested in the last line (Latest month at which scheduled Retaliation begins) - are these dates tied to the standard start date of the game (January 1, 1999)? Or is it just + 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 months to the start date of the current game? What if my game starts in 2021? Can I somehow correct these dates?

Hello! Either at the very end of the month, or at the very beginning of the next month, the game crashed. Can someone tell me only by the error message what's the matter? I can no longer repeat this crush, so there is no log. I make a submond to the FMP. I didn't do any Mission script, but I changed the MIB race. What does this "recon" do? I found this in the Mission script of a standard game. For what reason could this conflict with my new race? In the "new battle" mode, the races work fine.

Help / In what cases is the "Under armor" parameter important?

In what cases does the value of the “under armor” parameter come into play? When a soldier is shot from the floor below through an elevator, this is understandable. In any other cases? In case a grenade explodes underfoot? And if a grenade exploded in a step in front of a soldier? Two steps away? If the enemy shoots not exactly from below, but at an angle? When this angle decreases, at what point does the “under armor” cease to matter?

Two questions:
 1) The game ends in defeat if you have a negative account balance for two consecutive months. Today, when everyone lives on credit, this one is somehow strange ... Is it possible to disable it or somehow correct it?
 2) At some point, (by the way, it is interesting in which one) the game throws UFO crowds at you, every half hour - an hour.  Thus saying: "time to Cydonia."  Is there really such a mechanic in the game?  And can it be turned off too?

The question is simple: if in mod resarch.rul the code is:

I thought it worked like that, everything else worked like that, but for some reason it didn't.

I've tried. I rummaged through the entire forum. I tried different tools. But the result is poor quality. How, how to bring colors in pictures to the required palettes ?! I tried Photoshop and the palettes from the forum, it turns out in half the cases and so-so (examples in the attachment, I'm not sure that I'm doing everything right, because I'm not a Photoshop specialist). I tried to use the Falko's online tool, it doesn’t work out at all, maybe I'm doing something wrong? Please explain step by step if there is a way to quickly and efficiently convert the colors of the picture to the required? If possible, then on a concrete example: there are pictures of armor, everywhere everything is fine, but not in ufopedia. How to fix?
