I just now installed OpenXComEx v2024-07-26. I went to the options, and after pressing 'Ok' the game crashed:

Reproduction steps:
1. Go to the options screen
2. Go to the video options
3. Select 'Disabled' for the display filter
4. Press 'Ok'.
5. #CRASH#

Troubleshooting / Can't see an enemy that my soldier can see

Often one of my soldiers stops because (s)he sees an enemy. The problem is that often I cannot see the enemy. I then have to slowly move my cursor over every single dark tile until I can find the 'invisible' enemy (the cursor blinks red+yellow).
Is there a setting I can set so that I don't have to do this tedious work? Or is there a mod that can do that?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Regularly, when I detect a new alien, clicking with the left mouse button on the red '1' icon fails.
The screen will jump to the alien and then immediately jump back to the soldier (all in much less than 1 second).
I then have to click the '1' icon a second time for the screen to jump to and stay on the alien.

Could this please be fixed?

Troubleshooting / Go to predicted UFO location

When I turn on the 'Project predicted trajectory' setting, my interceptors go to the predicted UFO location, but then don't attack it. So, the UFO will just fly off and the interceptor just sits there idle.
Am I misunderstanding this feature? As it is now it is very annoying to constantly micromanage the interceptors (especially when you have 3 or so going to different UFOs at the same time).

OXCE Support / [Solved] Is OpenXCom Extended compatible with OpenXCom?

I happened to hear about OpenXCom Extended and am trying to figure out what it is.
I looked at this forum topic: https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,6459.0.html
Unfortunately, there is barely any info there.

I simply installed OpenXCom Extended and tried to load an OpenXCom save, but it gave me an error message.

1.
Is there a place where I can see exactly what the difference is between OpenXCom and the Extended version?

2.
Do they (or are they supposed to) have compatible savegames?
