Anyone here knows what happened exactly with the LSN server and if so, do i now own a useless product without the campaign missions?

Might as well provide my own comprehensive list of wishes for either the present or the future;

1) Step Zooming In & Out on the Battlescape. Pick any values you'd want.
2) NESW+ capacity to tilt at different angles (possibly down to 15 degrees gap).
3) Real shadows rather than "Square_box_like" Fog_of_War isometric tiling.
4) Break the freakish Palettes limit to at least allow for mix-match of any UFOD_TFTD_APOC assets & features.
5) Expand on Maps & Ships variety.

... only.  :P

Fan-Stuff / Coordination for graphic replacement tasks

Hold on and let's see if i understand you correctly;

-- The Battlescape terminology might be a bit confusing when trying to determine what editable graphics are suitable (or exclusively necessary) for it.

-- The Pre-Battle Arming screen is a part of the whole, so to speak.

-- Anything which involves battlefield "animations" (Units that move, shots trailing, waypoints firing, Psi control, etc) is also a shady area where actual PCK packages (referencing sheets, to be specific) are mixbags of numerous items. FLOOROB comes to mind. Even CURSORS.

In a sense, what i'm saying is that for consistency reasons & results, someone *must* include all Interface & Sprites graphics as a complete concept for more than feature_like decisions on Edits and their variations.

Then from the above principles... Am i right to assume we're on a collision course with our respective assets?

If so, we should find a way to either coordinate our tasks or needs... or decide what are our coincidental priorities.
If not, we'll indirectly contribute highly variable content that will have to be somehow fused eventually.

Either ways, i'm open minded as long as progress is made towards Hi-Res "enhancements" for everything.

Whadda'ya'think.

Fan-Stuff / Hi-Resolution Interface & Sprites...

This thread will become a temporary placeholder for some HD graphics development subjects while trying to introduce anyone on concepts (in the reserved posts below) i believe might matter if such a project could ever be tackled or completed *WHEN* a solid final OX 1.0 version is finally released.

I intend to share and contribute as much stuff as possible over the next few months or even, until OpenX-Com has reached its predictable state of pre-release while considering it might provide us an engine where full HD assets can be properly integrated.

For those interested, here's a quick https://forums.galciv2.com/172808 to "show-off" some on my MOD work in GCII -- if anything, it proves quite well i've been a fan of Gollop's titles for years.
