The X-Com Files / New Niewiems walkthrough

Lately I got back to playing as I have a little more time. Started new game on latest version and it is going far better than last time. I even managed to get one small ufo landed and won with loosing only two people (half of the squad 
).
I have a question though - how can I get better labs than one in XCOM HQ? Is it in some research? I have done quite a lot of those and did not find any yet

Never mind got to Bio Lab yesterday
This walkthrough seems to be going much smoother than last one where I had medium UFOs and those darn spike boars at the beginning
