Good day,

While this small modification can barely be called a 'mod' , I feel that I've heard enough people gripe about TFTD regarding the 2 part terror mission on a cruise ship that this was worth posting.

Thanks to the help of Warboy who graciously helped me on the IRC forum, the modification is very simple and can be done by changing a value in the mission script RUL file but here is a mod that does it for you:

For a laugh,  here is somenoe on youtube trying to get past the mission this mod removes:

After about two hours at it, here is his conclusion on the best technique:

Open Feedback / Many thanks from an old xcom player, new to openXcom
« on: February 05, 2017, 06:09:06 pm »
I felt the need to create an account to thank the volunteers behind this project. Whilst I have no constructive criticism, sometimes just a thank you can be nice too I hope!

Been playing XCOM (mostly TFTD) since release and have always been annoyed at some of the useability issues, while loving the general DOS-era mood of the old games.

I had been wary of trying openxcom due to bad experiences with other 'classic'  ports to open source (mainly Freecol & Freeciv) which whilst great projects I am sure, did not capture the mood of the originals.

So thank you, Warboy for keeping the 'purity'  of the original while giving us keyboard shortcuts and many other needed options for anybody who plays this game for a good period of time.

Thank you SuSuper for all your work as well!

I am thanking you two based on what i've seen on Github in terms of commits and in forums based on where the 'buck stops'  for design decisions, but I am sure that there are many others to thank which I apologize for, not really knowing the community.

From a very happy gamer enjoying a very nice release; I have to say the game looks and plays great! Never going back to the originals at this rate...

PS: Started 1.0 , went nightly for TFTD. Everything went very well, great installer!
