Help / Has anyone considered making Alience recover their wreckage?

Why a crashing site "disappears" after a few days? Where do corpses, alloys and other stuff disappear?

I am thinking of adding a new Alien mission where a huge cargo ship takes of from the nearest base to recover their survivors and the wreckage.

I wonder if I am going to do double work, i.e. maybe someone has already done or at least considered it?
