I will like to check for the STR_OAK_THANKS entry in Captain's Log in Bootypedia, is it taken out? Or is there issue with the entry?

Hi, Thanks for the wonderful openxcom-extended, xpiratez and piratez cities Lore.

I had discovered some spelling errors and thus will like to check if there is any place (maybe github) where I can help to fix the en-US.yml file?

Eg.
STR_TOKYO_UFOPEDIA: "The only city in Fuso. Advanced, beatiful, rich city, very opposite to rest country. (does it means in contrast to the rest of the country?) Eastern flair could be sensed by bare skin. Local zaibatsu rules their districts with an iron fist while the Emperor watch for balance between conglomerates which is neccessary for city's prosperity. Young adventurers are come in here to make a career in corporations and become true shoguns. Lots of die in first days on duty but those who succeed are really dangerous warriors, and you'd better think twice before confront them. And there is amazing sunrises, obviously."

Btw, is the actual idea you are trying to convey correct in the russian version? (ru.yml)

XPiratez / Experience for bows and x-bow

Hi, I did not see any experience gain in ufopaedia for hunting bows and x-bow.

I used x-bow about 5 times in combat and managed to hit enemy but did not gain any xp. Is it true that x-bow do not give any xp - maybe throwing?

If so, shall it give xp?

Hi all,

Had lost my current game (before I even select my codex) due to 2 hits by missiles in the same month.

1st hit lost -
   1. 1x barrack
   2. Radar
   3. 1x prison
   4. Mess hall

2nd hit - (lost the game)
   1. armored vault (left only 10 vault space thus quit the game as need to sell off almost everything)
   2. I think I saw the old earth lab been destroyed.

Question is how do I defend against them in early game?

Dear all,

I had modified Xcom extended to support high resolution images (1280x800) for Cutscenes and most of Ufopaedia.

For those interested, you can download the game from https://bit.ly/xpiratez-32bits-images. Please check back once in a while as will update any patched version there.

My codes is found at https://github.com/drago888/OpenXcom.

For any errors, please drop an email to me at drago888@gmail.com with subject beginning with Xpiratez.

If anyone have good quality images better than what ESRGanResizer can generate, please pass to me.

To use back the original x-com or 320x200 xpiratez, change the options.cfg file for the below or delete them.
  cutsceneResolutionX: 320

  pediaBgResolutionX: 320
  pediaBgResolutionY: 200

Dear experts,

Need to seek your guidance on how lodepng does the RGB encoding for true color 24 bits pixels?
Cos when using lodepng, some of the pictures will have their color wrong, whereas most have it correct. I believe that it is caused by the endianness which strangely is different for each image. I am treating lodepng as always storing as RGB.

Also, what is the purpose of lodepng?
Cos when I use SDL_Image only, all my images will be correct color. (As I can determine endianness from SDL_BYTEORDER)

OXCE Builds & Ports / [Solved] Yaml-cpp.dll or static library for x64

Hi,

Does anybody have a compiled version of yaml.cpp that is working and compatible with oxce?

Tried compiling it but always hit unreolved external dependency error when linking oxce.

I am using vs2019 and requires x64 as changing the images in cutscenes, background (not yet done) and ufopedia (not yet done) to resolution 2560 x 1600.
Encounter memory allocation error if changed all cutscenes images.
Suspect due to memory exceeding (i believe is 2gb) for win32.
