pimp* > enslave** > rob=sell. Forcing people to have sex against their will in exchange for money takes time and money to set up but nets you more than farms in the mid term

How about disabling bullshit events so the story ones have less competition? Who cares about minor changes to infamy or geting free animal poison by second year? Another solution is to edit seed in save near the start of next month untill the event shows.

Some seem a bit too strong to be honest. The Cannoneer gives +5 HP/firing alternatively per level and geting a lot of kills with mortars and rocketg launvhers is something you were going to do anyway and is the most outstanding offender in this regard.  On top of that, the condemnation bonuses should be reflected in equipment geting a bit worse base stats. I didn’t even grind bravery and accuracy with my gnome, but she can fite the tank MG with perfect pinpoint accuracy across the whole map making the battlecannon seem almost superficial.

Use of explosives and poisons also result in a bit of a penalty, which is fine because explosives are generally very powerful, BIO is one of the best damage types in the game and poison gas is a hard counter for certain baddies (well, now they come with their special friends who do not care about gas sometimes). Fire is strong, but I doubt it needs to be hit this hard. Losing TUs and perhaps health would be perfectly fine.

Original System Shock soundtrack would be a better fit than the soundtrack form the second one. Curst Battle track from Planescape Torment also fits the mood.

Regarding gold codex:

The Hawk is good but Hunter Killer is just around the corner researchwise, also at that point of the game, HV slot is useless so you buy one Hawk with the Flame Canon and that is it.

-Turtle is slow and unarmed transport, it loses its appeal quickly.

-Shadowbat is... forgetable, it suffer form the same problem as Hawk

-Flame canon is quite nice but you aren’t gonna manufacture more anytime soon and by the time you can, you have better things to put in your HV slots

-El Fuegp has the lowest transport capacity compared to the rest of the menace class vessels and since it has no repair bonus or shields it will spend a lot of time sitting in the hangar geting fixed. A bit too heavy price to pay for its speed I say!

-The golden codex has access to both Tome of Flames special wespons it seems. They however look unimpresive at a glance. The land equipment suffers form lack of focus, gray has MC focus, green has best survivability, red has raw killing power, gold has a bt of everything, but it feels like it is a master of none.

Or you can choose to ignore missions that are beneath your crew (however I myself use Meridian’s option on trivial bounty hunts as you can never have enough tokens)

You'd be surprised how much lament there was about it making game "unplayable" since you no longer can take 50+ turns without penalties...

Really? Payer can always rotate the crew after long difficult mission such as space freighter assault.

Shortest version: It does very little because most missions will be over by 10th turn. You will stay at high freshness most of the time as you can always rotate your crew.
