Right, there was such a problem, but now is fixed on my end.
Next release: after next OXCE release.
It happend again with OXCE 7.7. Do you have a plan for the next XCom Files release?

I wonder, if it's possible to specify in weapon properties (I assume, under "items") that a weapon should never disintegrate upon impact?  I'd like to e.g. have a 200-power laser, that burns holes through the bodies, not disintegrates them in whole.
It hapend again with OXCE 7.7. Do you have a plan for the next XCom Files release?

In that case I should stop to use to much elirium explosivs. I think that is the problem I destroy everything. I use more elirium explosivs then usual bullets or plasma beams. :D

That seems more of an XCF issue.
Please use full words. This would improve the communication.
Did you mean XCom Files with XFC?

You do have the XCOM_1.PCK file, case-sensitive since you seem to be on Linux?
The files is named /home/user/.local/share/openxcom/UFO/units/xcom_1.pck. This wasn't a problem in the past years.

Damn... I lost the save game. The one I posted was the wrong one. I meant the autobattle but saved the autogeo.

I will come back to this if I can reproduce it.

Can you please give a link to the XFC issue thread?

You can see the error in the image attached. It says
"OpenXcom has crashed: Frame(s) missing in 'XCOM_1.PCK' for armor 'STR_PERSONAL_ARMOR_OLYMPIAN_UC'. ..."

It is OpenXcom Extendend 7.6 with XCom Files 2.5 mod on Debian 11 (stable).

In earlier version it was quit easy to build a AI unit. After an update it was only possible to re-animate a killed AI unit.
Now in the current last release version I only can "build" a AI unit when I have an alenium shart . I don't know what this is and how to get it.

I can I get a new AI unit?

I think it works now.

There are different "items:" sections with different indentions. Maybe now I found the correct one.

But maybe there was a second modification that was important. I checked the KITSUNE string in the "manufactureRuleStatus:" section. There I modified the "2" back to "1".

You can also directly search for "    items:" (with four preceeding spaces).

add the entry

to that list. Make sure the preceeding spaces match the other entries, otherwise the save will not load. As FireStarTracer already stated, you might want to use separate save for this or maek a backup first.
Thanks for this tip. I did that.

When I look into the "stockes" for "all bases" the KITSUNE now appears in the list. But when I look into the specific base there is no KITSUNE - in none of the bases. I assume there is a rule preventing to make the KITSUNE appear but this rule does not work for the "All bases" stock view (maybe a bug?).

I played a bit arround with the other KITSUNE strings in the sav file. No solution found. I am doomed! ;)

I can not go back to an older save state. This was too far away.

My Kitsune is destroyed and I realize that I need it for the orbital missions.

How can I cheat it back? I checked the SAV file and found the string "KITSUNE" 3 times. No idea what this strings are for.

EDIT: Can I just remove all KITSUNE strings from the SAV file? Would this be filled up with default values and the event comes back again?

I do not know how to get into the orbital space station. I fly with a full eqiuped Ligthning when the mission appears.
And then on the battelscape they (who?) are fireing from the far away dark. I even have no chance to see my enemy.

I am using OXCE 7.0 with XComFiles 1.9.1 currently.

Mod size limit in XcomFiles 1.7b is 3000, not 2000.
Just install the mod properly and don't mix it with old versions or anything.
It's really easy.

because I need to update OXCE and the Mod I ask here again.
How do I do this "properly"? It confuses me all the time when I try to update.

One time I got a key and entered an embassy - great. ;)

But now I miss keys. Maybe I am to rude to UFOs. I use most powerfull weapons that blast away everything. ;)

What exactly do I need to get the keys?
Do I have to catch a living Etheral?
Which one? A simple soldier or does it need to be a commander or anything else?
What type fo ships?

There are different types/levels of laboratorie's.

Do I need all of them in my base or can I destroy the "old" laboratory and just keep the "new" (and highest level) in the base?

EDIT:
Looking in the wiki there are the "Services" : "Std. lab", "Improv. Lab" and "Advanced Lab".

EDIT2:
It is the same question with the different intelligence centers.
