« on: May 02, 2022, 05:22:49 pm »It is generally NOT recommended to edit existing files (unless you are their author), whether they are the xcom1/xcom2 rulesets provided with OpenXcom or any custom mod by any of the modders from the community.
It is recommended to create your own mod that will add, modify or delete whatever you want.
You can download and check any custom mod to see what the mod structure looks like.
The mod will load as soon as you enable it in the GUI, no need to change anything in the CFG file.
Understood on not editing the existing RUL files. So I create my RUL file, then store it...where? Once I do this it will show up as an option in the GUI?
