Troubleshooting / Can't cycle through units in crash site missions

Hi.
Is this a bug?
I've been playing XCOM a bit since buying it on Steam and installing OpenXCOM today. Every time I start a crash site mission, the inventory set-up screen won't allow me to cycle through the soldiers. When I click on Select Next Unit or Select Previous Unit - the forward and back arrows - nothing happens. These buttons work on the terror missions, and they worked on the game before I installed OpenXCOM.
Oh, and once the mission starts, the battle screen is not centred on the Skyranger.
Can anyone advise?
