Added working fixes to the list. Arsenal Additions seems fixable soon enough, I posted a renewed language file in the Medical Medals thread, Interceptors and Natasha are loading again.


So the only major problematic mod is Xenophobia, which can work for a while under lazy loading. I guess it'll crash when a plasma turret (or other problematic weapon) fires or is loaded onto the Battlescape.

MWEP integration has similar index issues. Does anybody even use that?

I do the dragon PSI fire attack is really great and the wolves are the best melee fighters in the game.

Maybe it's worth playing with Android display mode "Low profile" or "Always shown" then, instead of "Immersive".
That could help.

Yeah, Low profile mode works, but it kinda ruins the ✨ Immersion ✨ with the ugly android buttons always staring me down, and knowing myself am going to ended up closing the up accidentally and erasing an a hour of progress.

It's the Battlescape fault, specifically 2x and 3x; this 2 fucks up the app whenever you try to change the names of your agents.

it also causes the misaligned touch input bug.

Well, I played around 15 minutes on my phone (2-year old Samsung with Android 14) and I couldn't see any weird behavior.

I could not use all the settings I saw in your video however, for example I played only on 320x200 resolution, because anything bigger I would not be able to control with my fingers... you probably have a tablet or some bigger device if you can use a bigger resolution.

I don't have a device, where I could try bigger resolutions.

The most important thing however is, between OXCE 7.15 and OXCE 8.0, there was literally no change that could have any impact on this.
So this cannot really be a new bug. (Unless I am missing something of course... never say never.)
I'd guess it's either an already older issue, or maybe a different game setting, or maybe a different device setting.

well now that you mention it, I haven't touched oxce since v7.9, I did Play around a little with 7.13, but I don't think I changed any agent names in it( probably should change the title and text ).

I use Battlescape 2X

I can't see/recognize anything in that video, it's too small.

And how did you even manage to run OXCE in Portrait mode?
It should run only in Landscape mode, as far as I know.

I didn't the stupid screen recorder is just bugged ( that what I get for using a discontinued app ), here's a better video to show the bugs am talking about

Oxce android 8.0, X-Com files 3.6b

I've encountered 2 new bugs that didn't exist in 7.15 (at least I've never encountered them before): one that causes touch input to be misaligned when saving the game and finishing the process using the keyboard and another that just nukes the interface entirely when changing names of the agents.
