Aded ufopedia lines, removed dependencies and requirements here and there. And there were same listnumbers i think. There was something else maybe too but i dont remember which was what solved it. Take a look maybe you find what i did. (im just learning this stuff too)

A bit op.
I think nothing should be more than 130 accurate. I mean, shitty shooters should not be put to sniping duty... Anyone crouching, taking aimed shot should be relatively good with that much. Aimed fire could take more tu. Like 75%. One can rarely shoot 3 snaps, so there is little incentive to do 2 snaps, rather one alvays would do 1 snap and 1 aimed if the snap miss. I think there should be a trade of of either 1 aimed or 2 snaps.

Well now it kinda works. But the ufopaedia is still wierd. I have no idea how to solve it.  :-\

One more idea: the damage capacity of a laser gun could decrease from usage. Heating up or whatever.
With each shot, the damage capacity would decrease by say 20%. In a whole turn, you could regain like 30%. So if you keep constantly shooting, you hit 0% quite quickly.
A sniper shooting a single aimed shot should be near its top damage capacity when firing his next shot (so if you need 50% TU for an aimed shot, the weapon would recover 15% during aiming!) I can come up with funky formulas if anyone is interested (like 0%->50% should happen more quickly than 50%->100%)
You get the idea.

Wow, i would definietly like to try this mechanic!

As far as I can tell, compatibleAmmo doesn't affect the weapon needing ammo, only clipSize does. You can have an infinite-ammo weapon or one that requires some sort of clip.

Well i think it does. I tried to mod laser weapons to recieve a booster pack that would increase power for a shot or two, but leave the weapon with unlimited ammo normally. So i left the clipsize alone and put compatible ammo for it. In battlescape it looked like a normal laser rifle, but i culd not shoot with it until i loaded it with a booster. I fell back on the exchangeable battery laser idea with 2 kinds of clips.

Corrected the file. Also decided to need only rifle and alloys for resarching the new clips. Seems reasonable for me.

Well my idea was to use the new clips for specialised purposes rather than all round replacement for prewious technology. Well except the heavy...
You see the pistol was a spray and pray thing to begin with, so the clip reflects this.
But the rifle clip was designed mainly for sniping use, where it can give 2 turns worth of aimed fire or 1 turn of snaps. (best case) But if you really want to use it for breaching you could either take a sidearm in case you run out... Or just go with 2 rifles and shoot a wolley from each! Which tactic is pretty usless in any other case. Anyway, i feel it would be op, well it is already like a more accurate and quicker hl.
The heavy is a bit too much perhaps, but that weapon need some serious love to be usable. Aimed fire shold be good now, and snaps should work well on larger targets if you can feed the beast...

Hi!
I like what you did here.

Im learning how to mod, and had an idea with your stuff, i hope you dont mind it...
Its basically a scenario on pushing the limit of laser tech to the limit, resarching a clip technology with different trade offs.
Graphics are not implemented yet, so your stuff is used for both kinds of ammo. ::)
Care to take a look?

Nice mod!
If i may have a suggestion:
Resarching live aliens for this weapon or for the upgraded ammo might be more immersive. (since testing the effectiveness of chemicals should be hard on dead stuff... might be against some treaty though :) )

Im sure i can rough it for a bit without plasma, but i will be in trouble without selling expensive ufo stuff in short order.  ::)
