    Secondary skill points work quite differently from primary skills: It does not matter how many primary actions are taken; all that matters is that you did one primary action (land a non-IN attack on an enemy, react to something, not panic when Morale is below 50, or use a psi attack) -- your secondaries will increase all that they're gonna. It also doesn't matter if you did more than one kind of primary action.

Using the 11-23 nightly build I'm experiencing the same phenomenon as CoolKid is.  Playing on veteran difficulty.

"TU Training" has absolutely nothing to do with using TU, so the only way this button would train TU is if it was purposefully coded to do so.

Well heavy Plasma's and rifles need to be more like their TFTD equivalent, less ammo which will give the pistols more use... :\

Maybe make the bigger plasma weapons less accurate while boosting the pistols but weaker.

This, again, can be changed in the rulesets.  Look up the weapons you want in the ruleset, modify the power, accuracy of each shot type, TU cost of shot types, remove a shot type you don't like, add a shot type you like, change the magazine capacity, etc.
