Troubleshooting / Re: game display goes screwy and dont know why

thank you for helping me.
I love x-com and what you told me about the advice fixed it and as for a screenshot theres a picture of a globe that's all screwey colors talking about half of Africa missing on steam xcom section.
hope that helps because I got to fed up with my mouse not scrolling.instead it would take me always like 3-6 times moving it to border of screen to make it scroll.i therefore abandon the openxcom and just went back to regular steam version.
I had also tried using xcom loader and xcomutil at same time and after getting them to work together the game would bug and cause all the country and city names to disappear.
after all this modding for 5 days but still having issues I figured id just play the steam version with no mods because it seems to have much less bugginess to it.
id love to have all these neat little game upgrades like currency view in geoscape and good pre-built base but I want to play without bugginess more.
I credit you on trying this tho and maybe in another 5 yrs since ive been playing this for 15 and have spent at least 300$ on just xcom games including collector editions and ps versions for my console. even going so far as to custom order the ps3 that plays ps2 and ps1 games straight from japan just so I could still play my xcom.
in a few years when this build is much more stable and I install it and use it for a full game ill kick you down 20 or 30 bucks.
your work is not in vain an im sure someday I will use it for a full game and then ill pay you all with a tidy donation for your efforts.
thank you very much for all the support you gave me in the forums
sincerely
George
ps- I moved and lost a lot of stuff in shipping and now im on a nice Toshiba win 7 amd vision laptop so that's why im starting over
