Well from what i experienced after recent nightly build aliens seem to be for 95% of time stationary and "reserving" all TU for reaction fire.

Even when my soldier is standing in front of them they do nothing in their turn. They don't attack not even rotate (not to mention trying to hide/cover or search for player)

Hope this is gonna be fixed in the nearest time, because now game became too easy since in fact you can flank enemy and kill without firing bullet.

Are there any effort being put or plans for an update of this mod for current version of OXC (0.9) in the present time?

I just got it too, on gitbuild 2013_07_18_1326, when entering tactical. It goes away when i revert to 2013_07_16_1525.

- winXp SP3, modded ruleset + data files btw.

( .Sav attached, i hope.. )

Yeah exactly. I was using the same version and 2013_07_17_1143 which also gave me the error. Now I am using 2013_07_17_0618 and everything works fine :).

Suggestions / Customization appearance of soldiers
« on: July 14, 2013, 02:45:40 pm »
What i love most about XCOM:EU is the advanced customizing option.
And I was wondering...
Maybe we could also give possibility to choose sprite for our soldiers along with portrait, that could uploaded from preset or custom.jpg? Like in f.e. Icewind dale 2.
Portraits could look like as in the UFO Apocalypse but with health and left AP displayed (and maybing turning grey if AP=0 or make him wait for next turn (can't remember how it was exactly called but i think you know what i mean).
This could also make quicker selection of guys by just clicking in corresponding.
(I know someone planned it already to do in battlescape UI mod.)

Suggestions / Re: UFO Defense Extended Features
« on: July 14, 2013, 02:33:25 pm »
The auto-sell is already in the game.  Right-click on the increase arrow and it'll set it.  Right-click on the decrease arrow to turn it off.
same with assign all personnel, just right click the increase button, same in craft equipment screens... and so on

Yay :) I didn't know that.
And being predictable i also checked if this work for assigning sequence in skyranger. And it does :D.
I am happy i avoid being derp.

Open Feedback / Re: Reaction triggers - not like in the vanilla
« on: July 14, 2013, 03:21:46 am »
Ok I checked it out.
I figured out that X-com "turning" trigger wasn't in vanilla, but in UFO Extender.

However is there a chance that this would be also implented?

I could also add:
Assign All Personnel: assign all available scientist/engineers to the project by decreasing quantity below zero
More Reaction Fire: Allow units to reaction fire on units changing their orientation
Auto Sell: enable automatic production and selling of items

Open Feedback / Reaction triggers - not like in the vanilla
« on: July 13, 2013, 10:12:43 pm »
Since this is my first post on this forum, i say hello to everyone  ;D

Ok introduction is behind me.

I used to play UFO defense a lot in my past. My recent one (before discovering OpenXcom) was UFO Extender edition.

After I played OpenXCom on superhuman diificulty, I have strange feeling, that game is easier and mine casualties in battlescape are lesser when played on vanilla.

I think it might be due to fact, that aliens seems to be having reaction fire only triggered by movement, not by soldier firing or turning (or at least not as often i am used to).
Aliens seems not to even "turning" into direction where my shots come from- only when i hit them they firing back.

I don't know if you aware of this but are the reaction triggers planned to be fixed in future?

Perhaps some of the features might from UFO extender regarding additional reaction triggers.
I like when game is challenging and brutal. This is what makes UFO Defense great.
When you sent 14 redshir... ehhh... i mean soldiers in skyranger and only 3 come back. This quasi-Darwin"natural" selection ;D
