I GTFO immediately if I'm up against lots of Marsec/Megapol/Mercs, unless there's several near the Shadowbat I can get to with my sword Gals, but otherwise this approach works pretty well.

Depends on whether it's controllable on a per-map basis. ;)
If it was, then some k r a z y mappers would probably implement it.

Though at that point you run into the issue that the map editor is out of date.

Very interesting, though it might be necessary to limit it to only darkening things by 4 levels - as mostly black is not interesting to look at.

just in case someone has an allergic reaction to that for some reason

Not really a thorough explanation of workflow so much as a showcasing of what "doing shit" entices and what "exporting results" looks like.

There are a few flubs such as reactions <30 but its the exception rather than the rule.
If their reactions are this low, it just means that doing some easy missions with practicing their shit-tier stats will yield massive rewards.

So if they get some neat rolls then that'd be the best way to fix the shit rolls.

The crazy style is certainly a bit too hi-fi for vanilla XCOM1, yes.
Can't do much about the B-Actor face (isn't that a good thing if anything), there's not much to a Stone Cold Killer expression if the face wearing it is a LUL ABEMAN :---DDD

The mustaches were most definitely missing.
