Title: Missing artifacts after Meet the Informant mission

So I finished a "meet the informant" mission, and for some reason I didn't get the Secret Files the guy had in his inventory or any of the multiple Strange Artifacts that he and the enemy Westmen had. Is this a glitch?

Impossible to judge from the description alne. Do you happen to have a safe from the mission and can you reproduce the behaviour?

Unfortunately no, I've overwritten it since then.

What are the "Strange Artifacts," is that an item I'm supposed to be able to research?

Does anybody know? I don't remember seeing the "strange artifacts" in any of the previous versions, definitely not in this mission.

Strange artifacts are items that have their own research project, but have not been researched yet.

I can't help with the issue without a save, sorry.

Fortunately I got the same mission again, if the same issue crops up I'll be able to share the save.

To be clear, am I supposed to have an item called a "Strange Artifact" after the mission is over?
