7 october 2040 isn't friday, its sunday. Calendar is a lie.

If this detail bothers you, go to the folder : ...\standard\xcom2
Open with a text editor (Notepad) the file : vars.rul
Correct to have :
startingTime:
  second: 0
  minute: 0
  hour: 12
  weekday: 1
  day: 1
  month: 1
  year: 2040
