Title: [OXCE] [Total conversion] Lost War

The game and battles are small. Equipment and crafts must be looted from the enemy. English and Finnish are supported.
The mod needs OXCE. It does not work with OXC.
Recommended advanced options are:
 Live alien sale: YES,
 Alien bleeding: YES.

The story: The X-Com lost the First Alien War, and aliens conquered the Earth. Afterwards, they returned
to the outer space, and left a human organization to rule the Earth on behalf of them. The organization
has all fighting equipment and crafts, but some people succeeded to steal two laser pistols and a craft.
Thus, it became possible to start a rebellion. Rebels will get more weapons and crafts by winning battles.
The first battle is critical. If the craft or laser pistols are lost, all will be lost.

Played it today. Very nice mod, very good concept.  :)

I think this could be the starting point for developing a tutorial-mod. Most of the important game mechanics are in this mod, but still kept small and simple. Sounds good for beginners?
Only a few things would have to be done, like adding a grenade to learn how to use grenades. And a motion scanner.

Personally, I liked the mod too.  An original vision of a possible future after the defeat of the X-com forces.  However, something did not seem very logical to me.  One can imagine a world without firearms (I recall the novel "The Black Flame" by Stanley Weinbaum), but it is very difficult to imagine that people will not find any replacement for it.  Man's first weapon was a club.  It is easy to craft and does not require any ammunition.  So why didn't the new resistance arm themselves with melee weapons?  A piece of steel pipe should be quite effective against unarmored opponents.  Therefore, I think that using only ranged weapons is a drawback of the mod.

  Yes, the mod is good for beginners but it is too long to be a tutorial.

I have added a steel pipe into the mod. I took it from the X-piratez.

Her is the new version.

Had some spare time this week... see attached a suggestion for how the mod could become a tutorial mod. Well, I know it is not polite to change the work of someone else without asking. So after you read this, I promise to delete the attachment if you want so. It will not disturb your work for long. Use it or leave it.

I play this game only few weeks each year, so I can not promise to respond to pm or posts. My work is free, please don't credit me.
