Title: Question about data source
Post by: Davorian on October 17, 2010, 06:32:03 am
Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I have a quick questions for SupSuper; I've been looking through the code and I noticed that you've managed to extract the country border line data - the comments seem to indicate that this was from the original executable itself.  Did you extract that data yourself?  If so, how did you find it?

I love your work so far, by the way!

Cheers,
Davorian.

I found it here: https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Talk:GEOSCAPE.EXE#Funding_countries_borders_polylines

Thanks for the support.

Just out of curiousity - why you're interested in this? Working on some editor or something?

Hi michal,

Yes, a saved game editor.  There's already a million out there, I know; but it's a resurrection of an old one I completed years ago and then lost.

If you're curious, you can check it out here (https://www.rubikscomplex.net/ufosge/).  It's got just the necessities at the moment, but I've got more in the works.
