A mod which lets you play as the aliens? Yay! About fucking time. It might be a bit too easy though, as aliens start with plasma tech and it will be difficult to keep the player from steamrolling the opposition as soon as enough money/resources to get multiple Heavy Plasma Guns is acquired.
I wonder what you'll do about research. Besides special armors and human anatomy, there's little the aliens lack IMO tech-wise. Maybe a medi-kit and a few other things.

Research could be some kind of recovery, you had lot tech but all production chains and know-how go out the window with main base.
Similar how it is handled in WH40k.

You are right Yankes. The aliens are a highly centralized society. And the invasion of Earth leaves many advances to humans.
The "aliens" have a research tree and there is some interesting new weapons.

I'm assuming that the Humans start with plasma and blaster launchers from day 1?
or is that just xcom? and do you have seperate missions against regular human colonists/explorers vs the more military type groups like x-com?

Waldo, althought the humans have many captured weapons from Earth war, in Multimod these weapons are not duplicated by humans, so, these plasmas are scarce. In fact, it is x-com in the early days of Mars invasion.
