DM Wyvern provides a textbook example of how NOT to XCOM.

Youre making a whole lp?

Yes. That is the plan. :) Right now I am still testing behind the scenes. I want to make sure when I begin my Let's Play I have a good chance of succeeding at the campaign. Practice makes perfect!
Thanks for getting a chuckle out of my vid LuckyClover!

perfection.
at least something like that happened at the beginning, not to all your experienced soldiers 4 months in.
oh and you did get a cyberdisk corpse. that's pretty rare.

yeah training before lp is a great idea- to dont end with situations like this ;D
priming grenades and explosions is difficult decision-can be useful can be deadly
lot of people prime exposions before starting mission and use them all before end of first turn-
so they dont explode on own soldiers if they get shot, mind control or berserk during alien turn ;)

Yeah pre-prime is super risky. I only do it for non-lethals. but in that case it's super useful. just being able to drop a smoke for 4/20 tus (depending on whether you drop or throw) is a huge lifesaver.

With as little money as that, it may as well have been game over if you didn't have anything to sell. But just once I want to watch a playthrough in which the entire main crew is lost and the player doesn't give up but comes back from it.

Yeah. I did that once when I lost my first team in TFTD. This early it isn't a big deal. None of the soldiers are trained, so he lost, what 1 HWP (420 000) and 9 soldiers (9 x 40 000) ~ 800 000 or so. He even saved the 500 000 for the Skyranger.
