Title: ending the Asylum Apparitions

What do I have to do to finish it? I destroyed all the candles at the ritual site on the top floor and incapacitated all the ghosts, but the mission won't end. Ghosts keep waking up and I shoot them to knock them back down, but it doesn't ever actually end.

You missed a ghost somewhere. I never touched the candles on the roof and I finished it just like I finished other missions: kill them all.

Well, I blew up the pentagram with grenades and got a message that I had destroyed the spectral node and that I could go ahead and escape, but when I evacuated the after-action report said all the civilians had died. Also, I didn't capture any of the ghosts, even though I had dragged every single one in the map onto the evac zone with me.

Any idea what that's about?

Mission ends when all ghosts are stunned, so there has to be one hidden somewhere. I usually deal with this mission by bringing A LOT of agents with tazers and stunbattons, then transporting all the small ghosts into one place.

If you want, you can cheat in this mission, simply turn ON debug mode, look where the last ghost is, reload save and go there.

Other ways are to get everyone a motion detector.

Do what I did and hold off on the mission until you can bring lasers along. It'll kill the ghosts outright. Besides, you can't capture them without the ghost tank, which requires ectoplasm to research (and the only way to get that is by either killing the ghosts or being very lucky with land surveys).

Nah, this is a chill mission, no need for violence. Just bring your electric club and use the mission as an opportunity to train up melee and reactions. The ghosts don't do any health damage, only stun. Only way to lose is to get all your agents fall unconscious or go insane. Both very unlikely.

Sorry, I cannot make any remaining ghosts die if you blow up the target. But you can evacuate from the mission and it'll count as complete. (All civvies will be lost, though.)

But script could do this, you would need two tags, one that mark target and other that mark ghosts.
When all units marked "target" die on next turn all "ghosts" die too.

Are there going to be other ghost missions? The Doctor Hadriex mission was my first ghost mission, and I didn't have the technology to capture any of the pirate ghosts. Will I get another chance this playthrough?

Solarious has said before that there will be eventually but they're a low priority right now.
