I know that throwing that little flares that dont give much light is part of Xcom night battle nostalgia :)
but Flare guns giving ability to change night into day with tons of light are known to people and used in warfare from at least I WW
it would be great to have this kind of "weapon" to be able to shoot flare on distance bigger than sdoldiers can throw-
I was using sometimes grenade launcher with incendiary ammo in similar way but real flare gun would be very cool 8)
