Title: Melee and the Kool-Aid man

I've seen a couple posts about this, but I'm starting a new topic to get it up there again.

Is there a way to get melee weapons to target not-people so I can Kool-Aid man through buildings to stab mutons in the face? I'm running the final mod pack and it is great but not being able to target terrain with melee attacks has repeatedly come up in missions.

It is possible, but it won't be called melee anymore. Since only projectile based weapons are allowed to free aim, there is a simple modding hack for melee weapons to be able to aim freely, but it will make them ranged in the process. By giving the melee weapon a weapon range of 1 tile, it will act as a gun and will be able to fire freely anywhere, but as I have said, it will fire projectiles and it will fire off more than a single tile, hence why I have said earlier it will be transformed into a pseudo gun.
