how do i replace the Weapons like the sectoid's Weird Cousin mod

Depends. One way is to insert weapon sprite into spritesheet in your UFO folder. HandOB for example, its one spritesheet file. Just as the FloorOB and BigOBs.

You have to be aware that XCOM uses PCK files, not PNG, so they have to be converted.

which HANDOB is the rifle and the Pistol

Mapview 2 has PCKview inside. This program lets you convert PCK to PNG and in reverse.

From 0 to 7 its the rifle HANDOB.

Converted and tested. Works perfectly.

Simply move them to UFO directory. Be sure to have backup.

Now you most likely need to replace sounds to sound suppresed and also change the description in UFOpedia. This are however things I never tried.
