Im mostly doing clay dragons, pokemons and animals but I will try to make more of Xcom fanart from time to time ;D
(even if most of my watchers on deviantart mostly never heard about Xcom :()

people often ask me if I will try animations (Im very active I have make more than 300 sculptures in 8 months ;D)
but I would need very good camera and lot of free time-and I just dont have them ;)

Yeah. You will also need some ball-joint carcass, otherwise the clay will fall apart, and maybe some green screen for special effects.

i got one idea for a clay art can you do a aquasectoid (a Sectoid Aquatoid Hybrid),Its a Aquatoid with grey skin

Im mostly using ears sticks and somrtimes wire to make construction more durable (like in this Piranha plant)
the idea of green screen is amazing-I Immediately thought about adding animation background of tower or cathedral during storm to this Gargoyle (from homm3) that would be just fantastic but I will be making more advanced stuff in future-Im still learning :) :) :)

it is very good idea-but I think I will start with regular Aquatoid- becose Im little bit low on white that is needed for making grey (Im mixing colors myself) maybe I will even make some little Sonic gun for him but hard to say if I will find time for that :D

BTW, there is now a new algorithm to improve clay animation (and any animation in fact). Basically you can get away with providing just the key frames, and it fills the rest for you:

at the end of the video he asks for opinions about which we like better. I'd say either make things deliberately jerky and robotic @ 5fps (old style), or use a full smooth interpolation. On that video @15fps i like the full smooth effect

I realised yesterday that this old sculpture of Drow (or Demon like Drow) looks very similar to Lokk'Naars from X-Piratez 8)
(or at least in my personal opinion :))
