Jokes aside, I don't know if it is a problem with the sprite or with open xcom...

that is because the body is on a slope.
Not sure if thats fixable in any way, since the body is flat by definition, and the slope is not...

This happens when you kill/knock out big units on sloped terrain. The game handles each sector of a big unit "corpse" seperately sprite-wise, since the unit occupies 4 terrain tiles. Each one is placed at the corresponding height, which is why it looks like that.
