Title: Balancing Question for a scrub
Post by: Jeremy on November 22, 2019, 10:39:58 pm
Let me start by stating I absolutely love what has been done to XCOM through the modding community, and a big thank you to all the creators.

My question is, as this is my second play-through, first since 1.0, is it normal when invasion starts and you begin downing MiB UFOs, that the missions normally/naturally include multiple MiB Specialists with Blaster Launchers?

Just curious, lost an entire crew in a downed UFO mission via blaster-bomb-out-of-the-dark, that I would normally expect on a battleship or similarly (predictably) difficult mission...but this is just a small UFO.
As for when this is occurring, I'm still in Jan 99'.
Just wondering if this is normal.
Thanks!

Yes, it is normal. In my current campaign I was faced with MIB in Jan 99 too.

Oh, I don't have a problem regarding MiB in general, I just wasn't aware they wielded blaster launchers. To be fair, it has been awhile since I played the mod pack, just don't recall running into any MiB with Blaster Launchers. It was quite a surprise while doing the "chump's prayer" in my skyraider, chump's screaming "Incoming!" as the rocket zig zags through a couple of houses and straight into the prayer group, wiping the entire squad....Ouch...

poor guy ^^
I´ve seen many MiB (and some aliens) with blaster launchers. But it never happened even once that it actually got fired...
Guess I´m lucky  :P
