Title: Alien key and embassy problems (X-Com files: v. 0.9.9d)

Hey I am unsure as how to start the Alien Embassy Mission. I have an Alien Key item in my base but I cannot equip it to a ship to send it on the mission. Im not sure if this is even the right alien key and I might have accidentally sold the required Alien Key.

Its need to be decrypted (its a manufacturing project), researching the decryption technics is rather complicated, you need to gather evidence of alien activity in the infiltrated country. Interrogation of aliens and hybrids will provide some clues for that.

Thanks for your reply, turns out you were right in saying the decryption techniques are complicated. Turns out I misread Alien data slate decryption for alien key decryption, and that i still need the "Aliens Plot - Mind Control Tech" and the techs after before Alien key Decryption.

Hi all
So stuck atm, i have multiple Alien Embassys around the world, 5 alien keys and have no idea how to decrypt them.
Nothing comes up in research or manufacturing for it, in fact theres nothing i can research atm, keep capturing dozens of hybrids and aliens of all sorts unless its commanders i have to get

I haven't done this part, but from what I see, decrypting the key depends on a tech "Alien Infiltration Methods", which in turn requires the following reesearches:

It can take awhile to get those three researches. For me the game was nearly over before I got the mind control one and could decrypt the keys.
